DOLLY PARTON RETURNS TO PUBLIC EYE TO CELEBRATE OPENING DAY AT DOLLYWOOD . (PHOTO).

 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Parton previewed the park’s 41st season, highlighting the upcoming NightFlight Expedition ride, a new “Run Dollywood” race weekend, an updated ...

REV. SAMUEL JOHNSON,24TH JUNE 1846-29TH APRIL 1901.

                                                  He was an Anglican priest and historian of the Yoruba.He was born a re-captive creole in Freetown,Sierra leone.Johnson was an Omoba of the Oyo clan as a descendant of the Alaafin Abiodun of Oyo.He completed his education at the church missionary Society {cms} Training institute and sub-sequently faught during what became known as the Yoruba civil war.Johnson and Charles Philips,also of the CMS,arranged a ceasefire in 1886 and then a treaty that guaranteed the independence of the Ekiti towns.Ilorin refused to cease fighting and the war dragged on.In 1880,he became a deacon and in 1888 a priest .He was based in Oyo from 1881 onward and completed a work on Yoruba history in 1887.This event is said to have caused by him fearing that his people were losing their history,and  that they were beginning to know Europea...

MITCHELL OBAMA,HAPPY OVER HER AARP CARD+HER NO FOOD BIRTHDAY PARTY.

       The first lady of the United States was very happy when she got her membership card for the AARP,a erious advocacy group that includes all Americans over 50years.Her birthday party invitations were conusing when guest read the instructions stating you should eat before coming shows their is no food but their might be wine.Party planner Colin Cowie was shocked when he got the memo,that you should eat before you come says ''to ask people to eat before you come,is not a way i would have done it''.The first lady turned 50 on friday,but the big celebration was put on hold untill saturday.The white house revealed nothing about the guest list,but a few guests were caught on camera arriving the event.President Barack Obama told guests to come prepare to dance and rumors buzzed that Beyonce was one of the performers taking part.More photos below.                                   ...

DENNIS RODMAN,ENTERS REHAB AFTER DRUNK TV APPEARANCE IN NORTH KOREA.

          During celebrity Apprentice,i knew he drank alot of cram berry juice mixed with alcohol,but this time i think he has gone too far with his drunkness when he caused outrage after claiming ''an American citizen deserves a sentence to hard labour'',he said it on his visit to North Korea.He is now staying at a treatment centre in New Jersy to try and curb his long standing alcohol addiction.He will receive care for 30 days.He claimed alcohol was one of the reasons for his bizarre out burst about his fellow American citizen.One more picture below.                                                                                                                       ...

           Kate Blanchette,won at the SAG Awards for her outstanding performance in a leading role in Blue Jasmine.She was up against Sandra Bullock for Gravity,Judi Dench for Philomena,Meryl Streep for August Osage county and Emma Thompson for saving Mr Banks.When Julia Roberts arrived,on the red carpet,the crowd went wild they almost pull her over just to touch her.More pictures below.
