PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.                 The newly appointed Chairman ,Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission {LASIEC},Hon. Justice Ayotunde Adeyoola Philips has disclosed that the Commission would soon embark on a tour of the 57 Local Government/Local Council Developmeent Areas of the State.Speaking at a meeting with Electoral Commissioners and the Permanent Secretary of the Commission,the Chairman said the purpose of the tour is to enable members of the Commission familiarize themselves with the terrain in the various parts of the State in preparation for the conduct of the next election into the 57 Local Government/Local Council Development Areas.She added that,the tour would also afford members the opportunity to assess the state of offices allocated to Electoral Officers of the Commission in the various local government and local council development areas {LG & LCDAs}.Justice Ayotunde Phillips promised that the Commission would conduct free,fair and credibl...
