PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. Earlier today I was in Kano, Kano State to consult leaders and delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party concerning our forthcoming Presidential Primaries. While in Kano my team paid homage to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero. We also paid a courtesy visit to the executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR before meeting with the Party's leaders and delegates. I thank Kano PDP for the warm reception accorded us. We are optimistic of good support from Kano delegates and confident we would be victorious in the Primaries and emerge as Candidate of the PDP in the 2023 Presidential elections. More photos below.

The former Governor of Lagos State and presidential hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has mocked Rotimi Amaechi’s show of fitness during his declaration to run for the 2023 presidential elections. The national leader of APC, while addressing a gathering in what seemed to be a reply to Amaechi’s action during his presidential declaration said that he is running for presidency, not to become a wrestler. He said, “ Those who think they will see me run around the stadium, I didn’t apply for the job of wrestling.” After the crowd had erupted in laughter due to his remarks, Tinubu further stated that “What I am applying for has to do with the brain capacity, knowledge, that will make life better for a whole lot of people.’

HEADQUARTERS SECTOR 3 OPERATION HADIN KAI/MNJTF CELEBRATES EASTER IN MONGUNO The Headquarters Sector 3 Operation HADIN KAI and Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) on Sunday 17 April 2022 joins Christian faithful to celebrate this year Easter Sunday in Monguno, Borno State. During the celebration, the Commander Sector 3 OP HADIN KAI and MNJTF, Major General GM Mutkut delivered the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya's Easter Goodwill message to the troops.  Major General GM Mutkut further urged the troops to avoid any unprofessional conduct while discharging their constitutional duties and also double their efforts in order to sustain the current tempo in the fight against insurgency. TROOPS NEUTRALIZE NOTORIOUS IPOB/ ESN MEMBER IN IMO STATE Troops of 34 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army (NA) on Sunday 17 April 2022 neutralized a member of the proscribed  Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) and its armed affiliate  Eastern Security  Network(ESN) at Ihioma Community in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.  Troops' on routine patrol encountered members of the irredentist group who fired sporadically at Banana Junction to enforce the illegal sit at home order on law abiding citizens going about their legitimate businesses. The IPOB/ESN criminals on sighting the troops, withdrew in a blue Toyota Highlander towards Ihioma Community for reinforcement. In the fire fight that ensued during the operation, one of the criminals was taken out, while others fled in disarray.  Troops are combing the general area in a follow up operations to track down the fleeing dissidents. Police Responds Swiftly over Easter Day attack at Oko Eatery News by Ifeizu The Anambra State Police Command has moved swiftly against criminals who attacked an eatery in Oko on Easter Sunday.   The state police command has also called for responses from members of the public to be able to counter the activities of criminal.   The state police commissioner, CP Echeng Echeng had before the Easter celebration promised tight security in the state.   A release by the state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga urged victims to provide responses to the police, so as to be able to go after them, while also calling for tip off, so that criminals will be countered.   Recall that the state police commissioner, CP Echeng last week led a squad to Awkuzu in the wee hours of the morning to neutralize a gunman who had come to attack a police facility. Agbor Monarch Asks Political Parties To Guard Against Bitter Rivalries  The All Progressives Congress (APC) and other  political parties in the country have been asked to guard against bitter rivalries and bloodshed in the build up to and during the 2023 General Elections. The Dein of Agbor Kingdom, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Dr. Benjamin Keagborekuzi the first, gave the advice when the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, with chieftains of the APC, visited Agbor for the grand reception in honour of the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Barr. 2023: SENATOR AL-MAKURA SAYS REPORT ON LEAVING APC IS FAKE.(PHOTO).

Immediate past governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has described as fake news, a now-viral report that he's set to dump the All Progressives Congress (APC).  The former governor who now represents Nasarawa South district at the Nigerian Senate dismissed the speculation in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Danjuma Joseph.  According to the report, Senator Al-Makura had concluded plans to dump the ruling party for the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) to seek second term in the 2023 general elections.  Reacting however, the lawmaker was quoted as saying he has never contemplated leaving the APC, a party he was a founding member in 2013.  “I will be seeking a fresh mandate under the APC,’’ he added.  He therefore urged supporters and the general public to disregard the report in its entirety and assured constituents of more dividends of democracy if reelected in 2023.

Fake Brad Pitt, Three Others Bag Jail Term in Benin City Justice Efe Ikponmwonba of the Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City on Thursday April 14, 2022, convicted and sentenced four internet fraudsters to prison for fraud. The convicts are Chigbolu Stephen Kanayo (aka Brad Pitt) Udoh Godspower (aka Wang Wei); Orome Collins (aka Wang Wei) and Clifford Otsu (aka Wang David). They were arraigned by the Benin Zonal Command of the EFCC for offences bordering on intent to defraud and impersonation. The defendants had sometime in October 2021 and February 2022 with intent to defraud impersonated foreign nationals on their respective social media platforms in the attempt to defraud them.  More photos below.

Alleged N266.5m Fraud: Court Fixes April 25 For Ruling On Bail Application of Fake Army General  Justice O.A.Taiwo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Thursday, April 14, 2022, adjourned till April 25, 2022 for ruling on the bail application of one Bolarinwa Abiodun, a self-acclaimed Army General, who is being prosecuted by the EFCC on a 13-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence, forgery of documents and possession of documents containing false pretence to the tune of N266,500,000. The defendant, who was arraigned on April 11, 2022, is accused of falsely representing himself to the complainant, Kodef Clearing Resources, as a General in the Nigerian Army who had been shortlisted by President Muhammadu Buhari to be appointed as the Chief of Army Staff, COAS, and that he needed a short grant to “press and process the appointment".
