  13 Suspected Gang Members Arrested for Murder in Bali, Douala Security forces have arrested 13 men, aged between 18 and 45, suspected of being part of the gang that killed Blaise Eyango during a violent attack in Bali, Douala, on September 20, 2024. The group is believed to be connected to a notorious gang, often referred to as the "microbes." On Thursday, September 26, the suspects were taken back to Bali to reconstruct the events of the attack, which left several people injured. This took place in front of a crowd of onlookers and Littoral Governor Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua.  Cameroon Loses Over FCFA 100 Billion to Corruption in 2023, CONAC Report Reveals Cameroon lost more than FCFA 100 billion to corruption in 2023, according to a recent report from the National Anti-Corruption Commission (CONAC). The report, presented on September 26 by CONAC president Rev. Dieudonné Massi Gams in Yaoundé, shows a sharp rise in funds lost compared to previous years.  Back in 2020, around FCFA 17 billion was reported lost due to corruption, while in 2022, the figure grew to over FCFA 43 billion. The 2023 losses represent a huge increase. CONAC's Budgetary Disciplinary Committee took action against officials from six organizations, including the National Social Insurance Fund (NSIF) and the Cameroon Real Estate Corporation (SIC). Some managers were held responsible for a total of FCFA 6.1 billion in financial damages. Rev. Massi Gams noted that the total amount owed to the state is estimated at FCFA 38.5 billion.  Woman Arrested for Allegedly Poisoning Stepdaughter in Limbe A 38-year-old woman named Catherine is now being held at Buea Central Prison after reportedly admitting to poisoning her 13-year-old stepdaughter.  The shocking confession came during her statement to authorities at the Limbe 1 Gendarmerie brigade. Catherine revealed that she put a harmful substance called Mocap into the girl’s food. She claimed that growing conflict with her husband, fueled by the girl's behavior, pushed her to commit the act. The situation became critical when the stepdaughter started showing signs of poisoning. The landlord, Job Bekondo, discovered the girl in distress, foaming at the mouth and convulsing on the ground. CALIFORNIA MAN LOSES HIS LIFE AFTER A HORSE CRASHES THROUGH TYE WINDSHIELD OF THE CAR HE WAS TRAVELING IN. (PHOTO).

 California man loses his life after a horse crashes through the windshield of the car he was traveling in. In the early morning hours of Sunday September 22nd, a vehicle hauling a horse and trailer crashed into the guardrail along I-15 in California. This accident predicated a chain reaction of accidents along the interstate including a semi hitting the horse trailer. The horse had escaped before the crash with the semi but unfortunately would not escape with its life and would ultimately be involved with the only human fatality.  According to reports, after escaping the trailer, the horse crossed the median where it was clipped by a Honda Accord driven by a 27-year-old male who escaped with minor injuries. Sadly the 25-year-old male passenger would lose his life as the horse was spun and flung through the windshield causing the passengers death alongside the horse. No arrests have been made and what caused the vehicle hauling the horse to initially crash remains under investigation.

According to court documents, from October 2020 through 2024, Shodiya Babatunde, 43, and Jamui Ahmed, 31, devised and carried out a fraudulent business email compromise scheme that targeted and deceived employees of several Minnesota-based health care companies into making payments to bank accounts controlled by Babatunde, Ahmed, and their co-conspirators, rather than to the intended beneficiaries of the payments. As part of the scheme, Babatunde and Ahmed created a fake “spoofed” internet domain designed to appear as though it was controlled by Fairview Health.
