PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.                                                         At least seven people have been killed during a shot out in a barracks in Uganda.The soldier who started the shooting was killed bu t most of those dead have been confirmed to be soldier's wives according to the military police spokesperson.The Army spokesman Col.Paddy Ankunda said ''Sad moment Sgt Obua Isaac of military olice Makindye has just gone bonkers #killed seven people All of the killed are women and children,one child injured,Sgt Obua Isaac the killer himself has been put out of action''.One more photo below.

                   According to sources,cinemas across South Africa will be screening 'Sarafina' free of charge today thursday 16th June as South Africa marks the 40 th year of the Soweto uprising on the day of the youth.The moving story that has been watched by millions of Africans is based on the Soweto uprising of 16th June 1976.Local television channels have also slated different times to show the classical movie.In a statement,producer Anant Sing said ''Sarafina! 25 TRAFFIC OFFENDERS,WERE ARRESTED UNDER ONE HOUR YESTERDAY BY THE FRSC IN UYO.

                                      According to the Federal Road Safety Corps {FRSC} who said yesterday that they arrested 25 traffic offenders during on-hour special operation titled ''Operation Good Morning Uyo'' in Uyo,the Akwa Ibom State capital.The state's sector commander,Mrs Cecilia Alao,in an interview with reporters in Uyo,said the operation was meant to apprehend driver's licence violators and those driving under the influence of drugs alcohol.She said ''The operation 'Good Morning Uyo,is aimed at bringing sanity into motorists using our roads.Within one hour today,we made 25 arrests.out of which 11 people were arrested for driver's license violation,and out of this number four had fake driver's license.The rest of the 14 offenders were arrested for not using their seat-belts while driving.The operation is to make sure that drivers basically on the wheels are licensed to driv...

                    The EFCC,on thursday June 16,2016 obtained conviction in a case of Money Laundering brought against one Samuel Duru before Justice M.N Yinusa of the Federal High Court,Enugu.Duru who was arrested by Nigeria Customs Services at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu was subsequently handed to EFCC for prosecution.His offence was in contravention of Section 12 of the Foreign Exchange {Monitoring and Miscellaneous Provisions} Act,2011.He was charged for failure to declare the sum of Eighty Six Thousand United States Dollars {$86,000.00} out of a total sum of $96 thousand United States Dollars while traveling to China in December 2015.

3 LIONS HAVE BEEN SENTENCED TO LIFE IN CAPTIVITY,AFTER THEY ATE 3 HUMANS IN AN INDIAN RESERVE.

                    Three lions have been sentenced to life in captivity after they were found to have eaten humans.Seventeen lions were rounded up last month and had their paw prints and excrement tested after three people were killed near an Indian reserve.A.P. Singh,the chief conservator of Gujarat state,said human remains were found in the faeces of one male lion and two females.He said the male had attacked and killed the humans,while the females had eaten the leftovers.An official at a nearby zoo said the male lion was moved to their enclosures and the females will be held at a rescue centre.One more photo below.                                                                                             ...
