PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.                   On friday morning,Senate President Saraki signed the Senate's version of the Repeal and Re-enactment of the Nigerian Railway Corporation Act of 19955.He said ''This re-enactment,which is coming nearly 61 years after the act first came into existence,is significant because it provides a legislative framework that opens up Nigeria's railway system to private sector participation.The changes in the law are also aimed at promoting competition in the railway system-in order to make the service more affordable,effective and accessible to every single Nigerian.Furthermore,the framework which the Senate has passed places emphasis on the maintenance culture of our rail system.I would like to commend the Senate Committee on Land Transport,led by Senator Gbenga Ashafa for the thorough job that they did in putting together the final version of the Bill.I am equally delighted that the Nigerian Society of Engineers are in support of this ...

A CELESTIAL CHURCH PASTOR WHO CHAINED HIS SON & STARVED HIM FOR WEEKS,HAVE BEEN ARRESTED TODAY.{PHOTO}.

                                                                       The Ogun State Police Command has arrested the fleeing 40 years old Pastor,Francis Taiwo,who chained his nine years old 'Korede' to a log of wood and left him to starve for weeks.Pastor Taiwo who was arrested today sunday by the Police with the help of members of Celestial Church of Christ in Otta,mltreated his son,Korede,on the allegations that the boy repeatedly stole money.The boy was rescued last July 22 by security Operatives from a room around the church after they got a tip-off  from a member of the community.Pastor Francis,who hails from Benin Republic,but born in Otta,Ogun State,in the Celestial church,was ordained as a Celestial Church pastor in 2012.According to the Ogun State Command's Public Relations Officer,Olumuyiwa Ade...

NIGERIA TROOPS AMBUSHED BOKO HARAM MEMBERS TODAY,CROSSING INTO SAMBISA FOREST FROM KOMALA & MUSAFANARI.{PHOTOS}.

                                                                     Today sunday,at the early hours of the morning,troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE ambushed Boko Haram terrorists crossing into Sambisa forest from Komala and Musafanari axis with logistics items.The ambush party killed 2 Boko Haram terrorists,while 2 soldiers sustained gunshot wounds.The wounded have since been airlifted and are receiving treatment at a military medical facility.The troops also recovered 2 AK-47 rifles  with registration number 565214175 and 5-65399 respectively,4 AK-47 rifle magazines fully loaded,25 litres of petrol,as well as assorted food items.They also recovered a motorcycle and 2 bicycles amongst other items from the terrorists.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relations.More photos below.   ...

EX-DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF KANO STATE 'MAGAJI ABUDULLAHI',PASSED AWAY TODAY IN HIS HOUSE IN KANO.

                   Alhaji Magaji Abdullahi,former Deputy Governor of Kano state,died today sunday morning at the age of 69 at his residence located at NNDC Quarters at Sharada area of Kano state after a brief illness.Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim,the former Press Secretary to the deceased,confirmed this in an interview today sunday in Kano to the press.He said that Abdullahi is survived by one wife,many children and grandchildren.According to him,the deceased was a one-time commissioner for Works,Housing and Transport between 1989 and 1990,and later commissioner for Water Resources.May his soul rest in peace,Amen.

                                        Divyanka Tripathi according to ZEE World,who recently got married to her husband Vivek Dahiya,is now trying to recover from a great loss.According to latest reports,Divyanka's grandfather Purnanand Tripathi,a retired DSP of Madhya Pradesh Police,passed away on wednesday at the age of 84.Divyanka,who lost her grandfather,said that she cannot believe she has lost someone who was very close to her.She also said that her grandfather always wanted her to settle in life and so she decided to marry as early as possible.His last wish was only to see hiss granddaughter marry but unfortunately due to his bad health,he could not attend the wedding celebrations.One more picture below.                                                   ...
