 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. He reassured that the police would continue to work diligently to protect lives and property and pledged to leave no stone unturned in maintaining peace and stability in the state. CHINA DENIES SELLING HUMAN CORNED BEEF,TO AFRICA.{READ}.

                    A top Chinese official has refuted claims that China has been selling human meat as corned beef in Africa.China's Foreign Ministry spokesman,Hong Lei,was reacting to report on social media after an unnamed Zambian woman living in China warned people against consuming corned beef from that country.The woman said that Chinese firms had been collecting dead bodies and packaging them in cans before sending them to Africa.Hong Lie said ''We express dissatisfaction towards irresponsible reports.The Chinese embassy in Zambia has introduced the true circumstances to the Zambian government and the public,and asked relevant media to investigate relevant reports thoroughly and eliminate the serious,negative effects brought by such reports''.The Zambian government has said it will launch investigations into the alleged reports.More photos below.                         ...

                 Thescued Chibok school girl,Amina Ali,was airlifted by Nigeria Air Force Super Puma aircraft from Damboa to Maiduguri alongside her baby and supposed husband,Mohammed Hayatu.Prio to that they were examined at Air Force medical facility and were found to be stable and normal blood pressure was observed.Thereafter,she was released to the Operation LAFIYA DOLE headquarters for further investigation and handling over.After preliminary investigation,the rescued girl and her baby has been handed over to Borno State Governor,His Excellency,Honourable Kashim Shetima,at Government house,Maiduguri this evening by the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division,Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu in a brief ceremony.It is believed that she will be brought to Abuja tomorrow along with her parents to met with Mr President.Meanwhile,the supposed husband is undergoing further investigation at Joint Inteligence Centre.It should be noted that Mo...

A MAN COMMITTED SUICIDE IN HIS WORK PLACE TODAY,IN AGEGE LAGOS.

                                A 21 year old man identified as Tope Diya today thursday committed suicide at his work place in Lagos.The incident occurred at Olayiwola street,Oko Oba,Agege.A resident of 5,Ademolu street,Oko Oba,the deceased was found at about 7:00am.He reportedly used his cloth to hang himself to an aluminium frame.Confirming the incident,the state command's spokesperson,Dolapo Badmos,a Superintendent of Police {SP} said the deceased's brother,one Wasiu,who resides in Agbado,Ogun state,reported the case to the police.One more photo below.

RESCUED CHIBOK SCHOOL GIRL ''AMINA'',VISITED PRESIDENT BUHARI TODAY.

                            Rescued Chibok school girl identified as,Amina Ali-Nkeki,today thursday arrived at the Presidential Villa,Abuja for audience with President Muhammadu Buhari.The girl,her baby,her mother and her brother,were led to the villa by Borno governor,Alhaji Kashim Shettima,at about 2:46 p.m.The governor and the girl,with her child were quickly taken to the president's office by his Chief of Staff,Alhaji Abba Kyari,for a closed-door interaction with the president.The girl and her baby were dressed in hijab and were shielded from newsmen by security officials.The Nigerian Army on wednesday in a statement confirmed the rescue of Ali-Nkeki,one of the Chibok school girls in Borno,abducted in April 2014 by Boko Haram insurgents.The statement issued by acting spokesman of the army,Col. Sani Usman,said that the girl was among other persons rescued by troops at Baale community near Damboa in Borno.More photo...
