 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. GOLD MEDALIST,MO FARAH,COLLAPSED AT THE END OF A MARATHON RACE IN NEW YORK.

               The father of three who won two gold at the 2012 London games,fell around the sixth mile mark today at New York,but carried on and finished second.At the finish line he temporally lost consciousness in the chiley conditions and had to be helped into a wheelchair.He was rushed to the hospital at the end of the New York half Marathon.Farah Mo said ''I feel pretty hard.I told myself,i don't rush but when i saw the gap,the gap was big.The condition here today were very cold.Condition won't be as cold as this''.Farah is due to return to Kenya on Tuesday for two more weeks of training under the tutelage of his coach,Alberto Salazar,before coming back to Britain ahead of his marathon debut.His friend Usain Bolt also reached out to him on twitter.More pictures below.                                                   ...

SEVEN PEOPLE,KILLED IN ABUJA NATIONAL STADIUM.

            Seven people have been killed in a stamped at Abuja's National Stadium during a recruitment drive for the immigration service,on saturday.Officials said only one entrance to the 60,000 capacity stadium was open during the aptitude test for applicants to join the immigration service.Seven people were counted at the National Hospital,where the dead and injured were taken.Tayo Haastrup,spokeman of the hospital said,there were several injured in a critical but stable condition.Olisa Metua,the spoke man for the Peoples Democratic party {PDP}says ''We are shocked and deeply saddened by the news of the untimely death of the young citizens who  were at the exercise not only to secure jobs but to be allowed the opportunity to contribute towards the development of the nation''.                                                   ...
