 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.                     It was a full display of the Nigerian culture as Vicsum Nursery/Primary and Secondary school celebrated their cultural day today 4th of November 2014.They had ambassador's for each ethnic group who took out time to explain how these various ethnic groups originated in Nigeria.Each ethnic group performed live the marriage rites of their region.To cut the long story shot,today just reminded me about how richly bless we are in Nigeria,in terms of culture and rich history.More photos below.

5 PEOPLE BURNT TO DEATH IN A TRUCK ACCIDENT IN IGANDO LAGOS STATE.

        According to sources,last night {monday} five people were burnt to death following a ghastly motor accident on Ayobo Aiyetoro Road,Igando area of Lagos state.Two other people had severe burns and were rushed to the Gbagada General Hospital for urgent attention.The accident occurred around 9:pm and sources claimed that the brake of an articulated truck,with registration number EP 896 SK failed and the truck rammed into stationary truck rammed into stationary truck loaded with alcoholic contents which led to an explosion.The General Manager Lagos state Emergency Management Authority,Dr Femi Oke Osanyintolu confirmed that five people died and were burnt beyond recognition,adding that two other people sustained serious burns and had been rushed to the Trauma and Burns section of the Gbagada General Hospital.

BURKINA FASO NEW MILITARY RULER ZIDA,PLEDGED TO HAND OVER POWER TO A CIVILIAN.

                On saturday the military appointed Lientenant Colonel Isaac Zida,the deputy Commander of the elite presidential guard,as provisional head of state,a day after President Blaise Compaore stepped down and fled to neighboring Ivory coast.In a statement today,Colonel Isaac Zida pledged to hand power to a civilian transitional government.The chaos that followed the army's move to take control of the transition drew criticism from opposition politicians and international partners.Zida met with influential King of their country today today,Majority Mossi ethnic group,Naba Baongo II who said ''Lieutenant Colonel Zida and his delegation came to say that they want to hand power over to civilians and he encourage them to move in this direction.The country must regain it's peace and calm''.
