 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. COURT JAILS OIL THIEF TWO YEARS IN PORT HARCOURT.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

  Justice E. A Obile of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has convicted and sentenced Sa'adu Isa to two years imprisonment for illegal dealing in petroleum products without a requisite license. He was convicted on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 after pleading "guilty" to one- count amended charge, following his arraignment by the Port Harcourt's Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The charge borders on conspiracy and illegal dealing in petroleum products, contrary to Section 1 (17) (a) of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 and punishable under the same Act. The charge read, “That you Sa'adu Isa and others unknown on or about the 20th day of January, 2020 at Eleme, Rivers State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court without lawful authority or license to deal in petroleum products, had in your possession Forty Thousand Litres (40, 000 Litres) of Automotive Gas ...

19 INTERNET FRAUD SUSPECTS IN EFCC'S NET.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

  Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have apprehended nineteen suspects allegedly involved in internet and related criminal activities. They were smoked out of their hideout, a guest house located in the Mpape suburb of Abuja on January 29, 2021. The arrest followed actionable intelligence on their alleged criminal activities. The suspects are Sheyi Abimbola,Ogunsanmi Mola, Akinyemi Ayomide, Babatunde Owoeye, Ife – Oluwa Gbadebo, Friday Owocho, Olorunwa Emmanuel, Jibrin Sediq, Jonah Maxwell, Ibrahim Mustapha and Shaibu Chris. Others are Gabriel Ekele, Kolawole Omitogun, Washma Samuel, Yusuf Ayomide Abdulazeez, Moshood Awowole, Farouk Olamilekan, Adebayo Samuel and Lekan Olufowobi. Items recovered from them include mobile phones and laptop comp[uers containing various incriminating documents. They will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

PTF: STATE HOUSE CLINIC TO GET COVID-19 TESTING LABORATORY.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

  A COVID-19 testing laboratory will soon be established at the State House Clinic, the Presidential Task Force (PTF) Chairman and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, said on Tuesday in Abuja. Speaking at the commissioning of State House Clinic Special Care Centre (COVID-19 Isolation Centre), Mustapha said the Buhari administration is using the challenges posed by the pandemic as an opportunity to change Nigeria’s health infrastructure.   2nd February 2021 Nkechi a Gboko based Delta woman took to social media to narrate her ordeal in the last one year and further requested prayers as she wades through trying times. Nkechi who was born and raised on Welgba Chen Street Gboko East in Gboko got married to Theophilus Nwagene and they both stay in Gboko. According to Nkechi her husband went missing and since then they've been struggling to survive. A few days back the already bad situation became worse as their house burnt beyond recognition and they didn't recover any property. She wrote: "My husband Mr Nwangene Theophilus Benjamin a driver with NBC(Coca-Cola) went missing on his way to deliver Coca-Cola products at Wukari Taraba state on the 27th May, 2019 have not been seen till date."
