 Abiodun Eulogises Otegbola as Former Senator is Laid to Rest Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday, described Senator Ayodeji Otegbola as a distinguished politician and a patriotic Nigerian who dedicated his life to public service and the development of Ogun State and the nation. Abiodun made the remarks at the funeral service of the late Senator Otegbola, held at the African Church St. Paul's Cathedral, Lagos East Diocese, Ilupeju, Lagos State. He said that the deceased made impactful contributions to the development of the country as a Senator and as a former chairman of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA). TEAM ANAMBRA WINS 18 MEDALS IN 10 EVENTS AT NATIONAL YOUTH GAMES IN UNILORIN.{PHOTOS}

                     It was a harvest of medals at the just concluded National Youth Games at the University of Ilorin,Kwara State,as Team Anambra won 8 medals in ten events.The state team participated in the events alongside their counterparts from other States in the federation,including FCT.However,the team won a total of 7 Gold medals,3 Silver medals and 8 Bronze medals.In the game of chess,the State team came out  the overall best/first in the event with 4 Gold medals and one Silver medal.The State Female Cricket team emerged winner/first in the game of Cricket after beating their Akwa-Ibom counterpart by 7 crickets.The State Wrestling team came second in the tournament with one gold,one silver and one bronze medals out of 3 medals for the wrestling event.However,sequel to the wonderful performance by the Chess team,Ikegbunam Helen who won 3 gold medals and Omesu Miracle who won 2 Gold and one silver medals have been selec...

          The Commissiner for the Environment,Dr. Babatunde Adejare disclosed this today at the monthly Press Briefing of the Ministry of the Environment,organized to inform and enlighten the general public on the activities of the State government concerning the environment.Adejare stated that rather than privatize,the State government would collaborate with Interested private individuals or organisations to build water works under a Public Private Partnership arrangement in which the private sector partner would build,operate and charge reasonable amount for their services.he said this move became necessary as the cost of building single water works had skyrocketed due to the exchange rat volatility,whereas government has limited resources with competing needs across sectors.''We cannot afford to stick to the status-quo as are battling with vector-borne diseases and we need to sort out the issue of appropriate pricing.Currently Water Corporation charges 5k pe...

                   Troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE on patrol from Bama to Pulka ,intercepted suspected Boko Haram terrorists drugs and other logistics suppliers from Firgi and  Zawan ,Bama Local Government Area of Borno State at suspected Boko Haram terrorists crossing point,trying to cross into Sambisa forest yesterday sunday afternoon.The troops pursued them but were only able to apprehend Kadiri Umate ,35 years,while others fled into the bush.The patrol team recovered 35 packets of 500ml of Glocose Intravenous infusion {Drip}, assorted analgenics and pain killers drugs,clothes,bathroom slippers,insecticides,salt,kolanuts and a bicycle.The suspect is undergoing preliminary investigations.In a related development,a suspected Boko Haram terrorists logistics and fuel supplier,Fantoma Lasani was arrested yesterday sunday bt troops in conjunction with Civilian JTF at Muna garage when he came o pick his wife to finally relocate out of M...
