PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.         A Nigerian man has decided to get married to himself and he released a wedding invitation card, inviting friends to his "Holy Sologamy". Sologamy is a marriage by a person to himself or herself, according to Wikipedia, and this is what Victor Ibeh, a popular Nigerian counsellor, is celebrating. Victor, who has two Facebook accounts - one personal account and one business account, has updated both accounts to show that he's married to himself. He graciously accepted congratulatory messages from his followers wishing him well. The lawyer, who is known to promote self-love on Facebook, also released a wedding invitation that reads: "It's love! You're invited to the Holy Sologamy of Victor & Victor."        In furtherance of its determination to meet the accommodation needs of personnel of the Armed Forces for effective and efficient service delivery, the Ministry of Defence (MOD), today, 31 July 2019, handed over a Block of 20 single bedroom flats for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF). The new building, which is located at the NAF Base, Bill Clinton Drive, Abuja, was named after late Sergeant Adeoti Idowu who paid the supreme price while on internal security operations in the Northeastern part of Nigeria on 30 November 2013. Idris of High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyanya, Abuja, on July 30, 2019, struck out a plea bargain agreement between a defendant, Favour Ebebeinwe Ogagaoghene and the prosecution, convicting him as an internet fraudster with a three years prison sentence without an option of fine. Ogagaoghene was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, for defr auding one Patricia Johnson, a United States of America citizen of the sum of $11,450, (Eleven Thousand, Four Hundred and Fifty, US Dollars). He was convicted after he pleaded guilty to one­-count charge. Trouble started for the convict following a petition, dated March 12, 2019 by his US victim, Patricia Johnson, who complained that the convict deceitfully posed in the social media as American Gareth Wilcoxon, and professed love to her and in the process duped her of the sum.        The Maiduguri Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction and sentencing of Josephine Udeh, before Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court, sitting in Maiduguri on a one-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N5, 059,000. Udeh, who was the Proprietress of Dala Standard Secondary School, Maiduguri, collected the said sum as WAEC r egistration fees from 284 students of her school and converted it to her private use. She pleaded not guilty upon her arraignment on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. In the course of the trial, the prosecution presented 10 witnesses and 10 exhibits which pushed her to enter into a plea bargain agreement with the EFCC.
