 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. TWO COVID-19 PATIENTS DISCHARGED THIS EVENING IN KADUNA.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     KADUNA UPDATE : As at 10:30pm on 6 May 2020, two patients were discharged after testing negative twice. However, two new positive cases have been recorded. There are 75 active Covid-19 cases in Kaduna State and one fatality. Ten persons have been discharged.

      According to Channels TV '' The federal government has successfully evacuated the first batch of Nigerians stuck abroad amid the coronavirus pandemic. On Wednesday, 256 Nigerians arrived in Lagos from Dubai on an Emirates Airline flight. The Emirates flight is expected to be the first of at least two other flights scheduled to evacuate Nigerians within the next few days. According to the foreign ministry, discussions are ongoing with British Airways to airlift 300 Nigerians from London on Friday; arrangements are also being made with Ethiopian airlines for a flight from New York to Abuja next Monday. Over 4,000 Nigerians are waiting to be evacuated across the world back home, foreign affairs minister, Geoffrey Onyeama said on Monday. When the Committee was alerted on the curious development, with the combined efforts of the Konshisha and Gwer East COVID-19 teams, a roadblock was quickly mounted at Ja to, near Aliade where the vehicle carrying the body of the COVID-19 victim was intercepted. All the four persons on the vehicle are to be quarantined this night.

     The Ogun State Judiciary on Wednesday began virtual proceedings to accelerate justice dispensation in the state. The State Attorney General, Mr Gbolahan Adeniran, while speaking after virtual sitting at the High Court1 presided over by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, stated that the process became necessary to speed up the judicial process as regards different cases before it. He noted that the judicial process had been stalled due to the spread of coronavirus, hence the need for it to test and ensure that judicial proceedings are done partly online and partly physically in the courtroom. OSAGIE EHANIRE AT THE PRESIDENTIAL TASK FORCE ON COVID-19 PRESS BRIEFING ON TUESDAY 6TH MAY, 2020 PROTOCOL       The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has continued to rise not unexpectedly, in view of prevailing circumstances in certain States. As at 11.00pm 5th of May, 148 persons had tested positive, bringing the total to 2,950 confirmed to have COVID-19 in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory. 481 persons have been discharged and 98 COVID-19 related fatalities have sadly been recorded. The patients; 5 from IDH, Yaba, 25 from Onikan & 7 from the Eti-Osa (LandMark)Isolation Centres have fully recovered & tested negative twice consecutively to Covid19. EFCC ARRESTS ONE FOR FORGERY IN KADUNA.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The Kaduna Zonal office of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested one Nuhu Musa for allegedly forging bail documents. Musa was arrested recently for forging a Certificate of Occupancy to secure the bail of Bidemi Olorunlere, who ran into trouble for allegedly obtaining the sum of N5,700,000( Five Million Seven Hundred Naira only) by false pretences. His criminal schemes fell flat when the Certificate of Occupancy he presented, was sent to Kaduna Geographical Information Service for verification and was found to be forged.

      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kaduna Zonal Office on Wednesday, May 2020 secured a two years imprisonment of one Beegu Tyopav or N150,000 (One hundred and fifty thousand Naira) option of fine before Justice M. T. Aliyu of the Kaduna State High Court. The convict faced a one-count charge that bordered on obtaining by false pretence. Beegu's sojourn to prison began some months ago following an Intel-driven covert  operation of the Commission on his fraudulent activities, one of which was the impersonation of a first generation bank staff, through which he defrauded one Daniel Osayande, a retiree.

A commercial driver, Aliyu Usman, who narrowly escaped the attack, told our reporter in Toto that the incident happened around 7:12 am on Tuesday.       Foremost Catholic reverend father and traditional medical practitioner, Reverend Father Raymond Arazu has announced that Anambra Traditional Medical Board has developed a cure for Covid-19 novel virus. Arazu, who is chairman of the Board, also took a swipe at the World Health Organisation (WHO), stating that the body knows very little about African herbal medicine and does not make any effort to study and appreciate it. A Catholic priest of the Order of the Holy Ghost Fathers and also called the ‘Revered Living Ancestor’, Fr Arazu argued that for that reason, WHO has no locus standi to criticise African medical alternatives since it has never shown interest in the solution. He spoke to Jungle Journalist Media Limited while reacting to questions about WHOs scepticism towards herbal solutions from Africa for the treatment of coronavirus.
