PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.   Oyo State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday, swore in Alhaji Ayansiju Lawal as a commissioner, stating that the Executive Council of the state is being driven by ideas and that everybody is working as a team. He added that the Council has only God and the people of Oyo State to serve and that they always endeavour to hold nothing against anyone. He, therefore, charged the new commissioner to see his appointment as a call to the service, adding that the present administration in the state is concerned about the legacy to be left behind like a real Pacesetter State.   The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the absorption and employment of water guards working with the Lagos Waterways Authority (LASWA) into the Lagos State Civil Service. The General Manager of LASWA, Mr. Damilola Emmanuel, who disclosed this during an orientation session for the officers in Lagos, also informed that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had equally approved the employment of additional officers into the corps to ensure effective monitoring of the inland waterways and guarantee waterways users' safety. He noted that the officers play vital roles in ensuring that water transport rules and regulations in Lagos are adhered to at all times, adding that the importance of their duties necessitated their full absorption into the State Civil Service.   Dr. John Adekolawole, rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ede in Osun state has been suspended by the Academic Board of the polytechnic for having a king-size bed in his office. What has he been doing with that bed? (1) Resting when tired, especially when the volume of office work is huge and burdensome? (2) Relaxation with female students/ female lecturers since all work and no play .............? (3) Sex for grades? (4) Sleeping and snoring heavily to the detriment of the institution?
