PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.         A scheme, to be known as "Adopt a School or Adopt a Primary Health Centre," will soon be launched in Ogun State to encourage the organised private sector to support the rehabilitation of Primary Schools and Primary Health Centres across the State.        The Fulani Socio-cultural organization, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has apologized to Governor Samuel Ortom over herdsmen attacks and killings in the state. National Secretary of the association, Engr. Channels Television earlier reported that Atiku and PDP had formally filed an appeal against the judgement of the presidential election petitions tribunal, at the Supreme Court. The opposition party is challenging the judgment of the presidential election tribunal, which affirmed the election of President Muhammadu Buhari.      REPORT OF FATAL ROAD TRAFFIC CRASH ALONG THE  SAGAMU - IJEBU ODE - BENIN EXPRESSWAY  ON SATURDAY  26  OCTOBER 2019 The FRSC Ogun State Command rescued two  crashes  that occured in the early hours  of Saturday 26  October 2019. The first crash occured in the early hours of the morning when the weather was still dark  at about 0540hrs The second crash occured at about  0820hrs  of the same day on the same corridor at Ijebu Ife, Ogun State. The two road traffic crashes were recorded on the Sagamu  -Ijebu Ode - Ore Express way and  involved 26 persons .     Onikan Health Centre in Obalende area of Lagos State received an unusual visitor on Thursday. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at some minutes past 10am, knocked at the gate of the state-owned medical facility in a surprise visit, taking its workers unawares. The Governor was at the facility for an on-the-spot assessment of the operations of the health centre. Received by the hospital’s Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Dr. Oreose Imosemi, Sanwo-Olu was conducted round the wards to assess the state of facilities. The Governor also engaged patients at random to ascertain the quality of care they received and footed medical bills of some patients who could not afford the cost of care.
