 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. The Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway is a multi-state infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and economic activities across northern and southern Nigeria. More...

              Everybody have been wondering which part of the world Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan is cooling off,so now some ta ta fo spotted him in London,and he really looks fresh and better than he was looking when he was Nigerian's president.At least the Boko Haram crisis is off his shoulders and his wife public speech is no longer the joke of the century.He looks good and well rested.What do you think?

               Nigeria first lady Aisha Buhari,was represented by Dr Zainab Nyao,as they console victims of Yola bomb blast,who are receiving treatment at the Specialist Hospital and Federal Medical Centre,Yola.Aisha Buhari,Condemmed the incident and wished the victims speedy recovery Dr Zainab Nyako said unbehalf of the first lady that ''The First lady said i should tell you that she was deeply touched by this bomb incident and other related killings in neigbouring states,and will continue to pray for a speedy and last solution''.Dr Bala Saidu,the Chief Medical Director,Yola Specialist Hospital,and Dr Bemi Kala,the Head,Clinical Services,Federal Medical Centre,received the first lady's representative in their Hospital.They thanked Aisha Buhari for her concern and solicited for more support from individuals and voluntary organisations.

FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT OF MAURITIUS AMEENAH FAKIM,WAS SWORN IN TODAY.

                  Prominent scientist Ameenah Gurib Fakim was sworn as president of Mauritius today,making her to be the first female to hold the ceremonial position in the Indian Ocean Island nation.This thursday the parliament of Mauritius,which received independence from Britain in 1968,voted Gurib Fakim into the presidential office.Her appointment came after former president Kailash Purryag,who was selected by the island's previous Labour party government,stepped down after having served as Mauritius's president since July of 2012.Prime Minister Sir Anerod Jugnauth told pressmen that ''I have always believed in the equality of men and women''.Many officials from the opposition party came out in support of her,despite the politicaldivide in Maurious's parliament.Her appointment was expected,and widely anticipated,after information that Purryag's January 2015 resignation was announced.People were not satisfied with candidate Navin Ramgoolam...

WOMEN IN TUNISIA,WORE MINISKIRTS AS A PROTEST AGAINST AN ONLINE CAMPAIGN IN ALGERIA.

                   Dozens of women were seen wearing miniskirts in Tunisian capital,yesterday saturday.The rally was in response to an online campaign in Algeria a week ago.The campaign called on all men in Algeria not to let women wear revealing clothes in public.In opposition to the campaign,Richid Ben Othman launched a counter initiative.He created a facebook event calling on women worldwide to rally on 6 June wearing miniskirts.The facebook page attracted thousands of likes,but only a few dozens attended the actual rally.More photos below.                                                                                                                   ...

                    Prince George introduces his little sister Princess Charlotte to the world with some very lovely pictures.The four photographs were released today by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge {William & Kate} and the pictures were taken at home by the Duchess herself in mid May.The Queen appointed her grandson Prince Harry to be a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian order in a private service at Buckingham palace.Awards in the Royal Victorian order are made personally by the Queen for services to the sovereign,as they were when the order was first founded in April 1896 by Queen Victoria.More photos below.                                                                                           ...
