 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.             Atlist this is not a sack story,but a happy one.Diamond bank plc recently announced the promotion of more than  450 of its staff across various grade levels.Mrs Ayona Trimnell,the head of corporate communications said ''This recent promotion exercise is part of the bank's annual performance review exercise as the bank seek to continously recognized and reward members of staff who have excelled in the work place .At Diamond bank,we have always maintained that the bank's is linked to quality of the staff it retains.As such,in the last few days,more than 450 members of staff who have excelled have been promoted''.This is the kind of news Nigerians want to hear,not sack of 2000.
