 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. He reassured that the police would continue to work diligently to protect lives and property and pledged to leave no stone unturned in maintaining peace and stability in the state. 9 DEAD,24 INJURED IN A TWIN BOMB BLAST TODAY IN CAMEROON.

                  Today sunday,it was confirmed that at least nine people were killed and 24 people were wounded in a twin bomb blast in northern Cameroon town of Kolofata.Regional prefect Babila Akaou said the two attacks took place close to the Latin neighbourhood of the twon before 9:00amArmy spokesman Colonel Didier Badjeck,who confirmed the death toll,said an investigation was underway amid diverging reports about whether the attacks were carried out by two teenage boys or two young women.Kolofata lies close to the border with northeast Nigeria and has repeatedly been the target of attacks by Boko Haram.

                            Today sunday,it was confirmed that by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria {NAHCON} has confirmed that three Nigerian pilgrims sustained minor injuries in the crane crash in Mecca's Grand Mosque in Saudi Arabia.The Chairman of the commission,Mallam Abdullahi Muhtar,who made this known at a news conference in Abuja,said that the victims were responding to treatment in the Holy land.Mukhtar,who did not name the victims,however said that two were from Kaduna and one from Gombe.He expressed deep shock over the sad incident but assured that it would not affect this year's exercise in any way.Media report had said that 103 people died and over 200 people were injured in the incident.''On the commission'spart,we have advised the various states pilgrims board not to allow their pilgrims to go close to the Grand Mosque for now.They have adhered strictly to our directive and it is yielding positiv...
