PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.   Today, the Kaduna State Government reviewed the sundry criminal actions that have defined the campaign of economic and social sabotage and lawlessness waged by the NLC. KDSG considers as unacceptable the serial violations of the Miscellaneous Offences Act and the Trade Union Act that have occurred over the last two days. The state government commends citizens for remaining calm amidst this assault on their rights and comfort and their businesses. However, KDSG cannot be expected to tolerate the brazen shutdown of electricity, attack on public infrastructure and buildings, locking up hospitals and forcefully discharging patients, unlawful trespass into public facilities and the wanton use of coercion and restraints of personal freedom by the NLC. LAGOS ASSEMBLY LIFTS SUSPENSION OF COUNCIL CHAIRMAN TAJUDEEN AJIDE.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE

  The Lagos State House of Assembly on Tuesday lifted the suspension slammed on Tajudeen Ajide, the chairman of the Surulere local government council. Ajide and two of his colleagues, Ogidan Mukandasi Olaitan of the Lekki LCDA and Suleiman Jelili of Alimosho local government area, were suspended on May 4, 2021, over alleged disregard for the guidelines governing their activities. While lifting the suspension, the House, however, tarried on the two other chairmen over issues that are yet to be resolved. The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa, noted that Ajide had written to the House appealing for forgiveness. He also said several meetings had been held by the relevant committee of the House over the allegations against the chairman.   The Ogun State government on Tuesday took delivery of medical equipment worth N194m from the government of Czech Republic. The equipment include fifteen ICU beds, an incubator, children cribs, a generator and a phototherapy machine. Handing over the equipment, the Czech Republic Ambassador to Nigeria, Marek Skolil, to the state governor, Dapo Abiodun in his office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, expressed his home government's delight to support and partner the state government, particularly in the area of health development.
