PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.                 Yesterday monday night,Lady Gaga performed braless at the Vancouver Jazz festival,alongside legendary crooner Tony Bennett.Though her red dress might be seen as ok,after she had changed from other costumes,but her makeup looks horrible with that red dress.Even the military apply their own much better than what she did to her face.Nobody told us that Lady Gaga will soon join the army and this is her last Vegas performance before recruitment.Now with that whisky in her hand,i now understand that,maybe she is either drunk and spoil all her beautiful makeup.What do you think?.More photos below.                                                                                                   ...

ACCOUNTANT GENERAL OF DELTA STATE HAS ABSCONDED TODAY,FOR FEAR OF BEING ARRESTED.

                                                                                         The Accountant General of Delta state Mr Cyril Chuma Agbele,absconded his duty post and fled to an unknown destination.Sources claimed that  he absconded because he was no longer comfortable with the way and manner outgoing Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has been demanding funds from the Accountant General.Some members of Governor Uduaghan's team are accusing the Delta state Governor elect,Ifanyi Okowa,of being behind the disappearance of Mr Agbele,a Director in the Accountant General's office,who requested anonymity,confirmed that the story disclosed that Mr Agbele absconded his position following pressure from Governor Uduaghan to release millions of naira only days before th...

MUSICIAN AKON,LAUNCHES SOLAR INSTITUTE IN AFRICA.

                  Today tuesday American/Senegalese musician Akon,declared the launch of a new Solar Academy.The academy according to a statement by the group investing in Solar power for the futire could help to implant a viable platform to power homes that lacked electricity.The institution is scheduled to open this summer in Bamako,Mali's capital.It would try to give African engineers and entrepreneurs the skills needed to develop solar power.European experts will help to supply training equipment and programmes.Akon initiative is aimed at bringing electricity to some 600 million Africans.Akon lighting African spokesperson said ''The academy will aim to teach people how to install and maintain solar powered electricity systems as well as micro grids,which are really taking off in rural Africa''.Akon's Solar energy program is urgently needed in Nigeria.    

NIGERIAN FEMALE FOOTBALLER ASISAT OSHOALA,WAS NAMED BBC WOMEN'S FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR.

               20 year old Asisat Oshoala,is the first player to win the new award from the BBC world service,voted for by football fans around the world.She beat Spains Veronica Boquete,German Nadine Kessier,Scot Kim Little and Brazilian Marta to the honour.The award is the first of its kind hosted by a global broad caster.Asisat Oshoala,who was the youngest player to be short listed,was the leading scorer at the under 20's world cup in Canada last summer and was voted the tournament's best player.Her performances led Nigeria to the final,where they were narrowly beaten by Germany,and she was also a major influence in the senior Nigeria team who won the African women's championship in October.That ensured their qualification for this summer's world cup in Canada,which begins on 6 June with full coverage on the BBC.Asisat Oshoala,after receiving the award said ''I would like to thank you to the BBC,to my fans around the world and everyone who vote...
