APPLE'S STATEMENT ON MINERALS MUST BE 'VERIFIED'-DRC. (PHOTO).

Apple's statement on minerals must be 'verified': DRC International lawyers for the Democratic Republic of Congo welcomed Apple's decision to stop sourcing minerals from there due to worsening conflict, but said they would press ahead with their cases against the company in Europe. Criminal complaints were filed against Apple subsidiaries in France and Belgium this week on behalf of DR Congo, accusing the tech firm of using conflict minerals in its supply chain, Reuters reported. DR Congo is a major source of tin, tantalum and tungsten, so-called 3T minerals used in computers and mobile phones. But some artisanal mines are run by armed groups involved in massacres, rapes and other crimes, say UN experts and rights groups. 'Satisfaction and caution' Apple said on Tuesday that it strongly disputes the claims and has told suppliers they must not use the minerals in question sourced from DR Congo or Rwanda. The lawyers representing DR Congo said on Wednesday they w...

MY FIRST AND SECOND WIFE LEFT ME AFTER HAVING A CHILD EACH FOR ME- MR IBU.(PHOTO).

"When you are young and single it is a big difference from being a married man, and a bigger difference when you start to have children. When you have babies, you are becoming a man, and when you are becoming a man, you are thinking big. There were certain things I wouldn’t do that I do now, because I am the head of my family and family comes first. Also, my children look up to me, learn from me and emulate me. "When I started my journey into fatherhood, I was a careless father, but by God’s grace I was able to retrace my steps, build up myself and today I am proudly a responsible father. If you are a careless father, who doesn’t care for his children, who doesn’t have love for his and family, who doesn’t have love and passion for building a home, such a person is not a man. I have been able to live up to my responsibilities as a father by providing for my family and making sure they never lack. "My first and second marriages failed; they (my wives) left me after having ...

LADIES,MARRY IN YOUR 20s TO AVOID NAGGING IN YOUR 30s- PROPHET RITABBI. (PHOTO).

Image
Prophet Ritabbi has advised ladies who are still young in their early 20s to get married immediately when a man shows interest so as to avoid nagging in their 30’s. The prophet said this while ministering to his congregation recently.  According to him, when ladies are in their early 20’s they’re usually in their prime with many men swarming around them, seeking their hands in marriage. Those men seeking their hand in marriage would be in their 30s then, so, if the ladies now gets to their 30s, those men would be in their 40s & 50s and would be married, then, who will marry the ladies in their 30s? He then said, the ladies will begin to nag.

IN BRUSSELS, PRESIDENT BUHARI WELCOMES NIGERIA’S DESIGNATION AS VACCINE MANUFACTURE BASE, CALLS FOR CLOSER COLLABORATION ON COVID EFFECTS   President Muhammadu Buhari Friday in Brussels, Belgium, welcomed the designation of Nigeria as one of the six countries in Africa designated as manufacturing bases for the COVID-19 vaccine, while also calling for collaboration to address the effects of the pandemic. With the addition of Nigeria to the four countries earlier approved for the vaccine production on the continent, efforts by the Buhari administration to change the selection that the country considered unrepresentative of the needs, capabilities and population distribution in Africa has thus yielded the desired result. In his contribution to the ROUNDTABLE ON HEALTH SYSTEMS AND VACCINE PRODUCTION at the ongoing 6th Europe-Africa Summit, President Buhari said: “I am delighted to receive the news of the selection of Nigeria among recipients of MRNA Vaccine technology transfer. We sha...

EFCC HAS NO ACCOUNTANT IN CHARGE OF N13BN NIA LOOT.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE .

Image
EFCC Has No Accountant In Charge of N13bn NIA Loot The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to a report by an online news medium, Peoples Gazette, alleging that a certain Jafaru Mohammed whom it claimed stole N10.9billion from the NIA Ikoyi loot is an accountant of the EFCC. The claim is false and intended to mislead the public. For the avoidance of doubt, the EFCC has no accountant by name, Jafaru Mohammed and could not have appointed him to serve in another agency. It is infantile to suggest that the Commission would appoint an accountant for the National Intelligence Agency, NIA, which is not a department of the EFCC. The public is enjoined to discountenance the report which is dripping with mischief for which Peoples Gazette has become notorious.
