 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation.      FG's delegation currently engaging with media and stakeholders in London, over the P&ID case, on Wednesday held a series of engagements, starting with a stakeholders' event, lunch with a leading Barristers' Chambers in London and interviews with BBC. On Tuesday, the team engaged with journalists at Bloomberg and The Economist, among others. TWO CASKETS EXHUMED TODAY BECAUSE OF LAND DISPUTE,3-WEEKS AFTER THEY WERE BURIED IN IMO STATE.{PHOTOS}.

      "A family had to exhume the caskets with Corpses of a mother and her daughter in-law who has been buried 3weeks ago just because of land disputes. The deceased spent 6months lying in the mortuary because of same issues. Out of anger the entire youths carried the deceased into the sitting room of the same family that exhumed the caskets with the corpses where they were laid as a punishment to them all that was involved in the act. Further more the entire  youths of same village burned down and destroyed some of their properties. This happened in Njaba L. G. A, Imo State.       The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) Mr Ibrahim Magu on Wednesday September 25, 2019 disclosed that the agency has recovered over one hundred million naira for the Kwara State Government from corrupt officials in the State. Magu who spoke through Isyaku Sharu, the zonal head of EFCC office in Ilorin, made the declaration during a visit to the office of the News Agency of Ni geria in the Kwara Sate capital. Adeniyi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, sitting in Apo, Abuja on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 granted bail to Mrs. Grace Taiga, a female accomplice in the multiple fraud, involving Process and Industrial Development (P&ID), but returned her to Suleja Prison in Niger State, pending the fulfillment of her bail conditions. Taiga, who was arraigned on Monday, September 20, 2019 is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on eight-count amended charges that border on bribe taking and sundry crimes. The 69-years-old Taiga, a lawyer and former director, Legal Services in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources was a key actor in the fraudulent Gas Supply and Processing Agreement (GSPA) between the federal government and P&ID, and is also alleged to have used her position to administer undue favours to the company.       INFORMATION: The Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola SAN, has assured Nigerians that critical roads across the country, particularly those leading to fuel depots would soon be fixed in order to enhance fuel distribution and ease the usual high traffic during the ember months The Minister assured that arrangements were already being put in place to fix such roads and a number of those, which conditions had deteriorated as a result of heavy rainfalls. Listed such selected roads to include Suleja-Bida-Lapai-Lambata;Oyo–Ogbomosho-Ilorin; Jebba-Mokwa-Tegina; Benin-Sapele-Warri;Benin-Auchi-Okenne;Enugu-Onitsha;Awka-Amansea and Odukpani-Itu roads. PUBLIC WORKS CORPORATION TO COMMENCE ROADWORKS ON MOBOLAJI BANK ANTHONY WAY.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The Lagos State Public Works Corporation has announced that the rehabilitation of bad spots along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja will commence immediately to reduce incessant traffic gridlock on the road. A release signed by its Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Ganiu Lawal said the repair works will commence this afternoon, covering different sections of the road from the descent of the bridge by General Hospital, Ikeja inwards Maryland. The statement added that the rehabilitation of a major part of the road between OPIC Plaza to Sobo Arobiodu junction inwards Maryland will begin from 8p.m tonight. The Corporation enjoined members of the public to endure the traffic slow down that may arise in the course of the road rehabilitation, saying that completion of the exercise will reduce travel time along Mobolaji Bank Anthony and other adjoining roads around the GRA and Ikeja bound traffic.
