A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE BY MUHAMMADU BUHARI.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE

A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE By MUHAMMADU BUHARI ... RARELY in modern times can so few have tried to take so much from so many. If Nigeria had lost its arbitration dispute with Process & Industrial Development in a London court on 23 October, it would have cost our people close to USD15 billion. We won, and all decent people can sleep easier as a result. Justice Robin Knowles said Nigeria had been the victim of a monstrous fraud. But it was a close-run thing. As the judge said: “I end the case acutely conscious of how readily the outcome could have been different, and of the enormous resources ultimately required from Nigeria as the successful party to make good its challenge.” But ordinary Nigerians never took the decisions that ended up before Justice Knowles. Had Nigeria lost, it would have required schools not to be built, nurses not to be trained and roads not to be repaired, on an epic scale, to pay a handful of contractors, lawyers and their allies - for a project that never broke ...

AHMAD GUMI: CLERIC OF BLOOD, FACE OF HATE- FFK .(PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE

Image
AHMAD GUMI: CLERIC OF BLOOD, FACE OF HATE  I am a Christian. I was born one and I will die one. I take my faith very seriously and I count it as being more important to me than anything else in life. Despite that I supported and campaigned vigorously for a Muslim/Muslim ticket in the 2023 presidential election because I believe that religion has no place in politics and that competence is the relevant factor when it comes to leadership rather than faith.  That does not however mean that as a Christian I will stand by quietly and allow anyone to denigrate my faith. I believe that both Christians and Muslims should and must be given their due respect in this country and that the adherents and leaders of both of these two great faiths must let love guide their every word and action and strive to live together in unity, peace and harmony. I also believe that where we see danger signals and identify circumstances and individuals that may threaten that peace and harmony we must chal...
