CABLE VANDALISM: SUSPECT CAUGHT IN ABIA COMMUNITY. (PHOTO).

Abia State Community Policing Vigilante has arrested an electric cable thief, simply identified as Samuel, while vandalizing power installations along Isi Court-Ikputu road in Isiala Ngwa area. While two out of the three thieves escaped with their operational tricycle, the leader of the syndicate identified as Samuel, from Ebonyi State was apprehended by the Community Policing Vigilante. The arrest of the suspect was made known by the Commander of Abia State Community Policing Vigilante in the area, K.C. Martins. Martins, who said that efforts have been intensified by his men to arrest the two fleeing members of the criminal gang, commended Governor Alex Otti’s administration’s determination protecting the lives and property of the people in the State.       President Muhammadu Buhari Sunday sent messages to Presidents Hassan Rouhani and Moon Jae-in of Iran and South Korea respectively, and the Prime Minister of Italy, Guiseppo Conte, expressing “deep sympathies” following increasing incidents of the deadly Coronavirus in their countries. In the messages, President Buhari said the Nigerian government will continue to diligently carr y out its duty to the international community by ensuring that the spread of the disease is curtailed.        The Supreme Court Governor Of Imo State escaped death moments ago at Ohaji Egbema. The youths of Mmahu community who upon sighting the Governor’s convoy started shouting “Onye Oshi Vote, Onye Oshi Vote” started throwing bottles and weapons on the Bullet proof SUV of the Governor. Uzodinma was however not allowed to come down from the car as security operatives whisked him away immediately.One more photo below.

       Former Imo state governor, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has handed over the justices of the Supreme Court that truncated his seven-month reign as governor of the state to God. The court had on January 14, 2020, replaced him with Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after holding that his (Ihedioha) emergence as governor of the state was based on wrong computation by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The apex court had equally dismissed his application for the setting aside of the judgment in it’s March 3, 2020 ruling for lacking in merit. But in a statement in Abuja on Sunday, the former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives said he had resigned his to his fate. Ihedioha who described the judgment of the Supreme Court as a fraud said God will be the ultimate judge.        The Lagos State Government has expressed appreciation to residents for their perseverance during the ongoing road rehabilitation and construction works that have led to traffic congestion in some areas across the State. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure, Engineer Aramide Adeyoye, while reviewing some road projects at the weekend, appealed to commuters to show a little more patience and understan ding, saying the government took the decision to embark on multiple projects simultaneously to avoid the delay that would result from the commencement of the rainy reason in April. Aneke of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on a three-count charge for allegedly laundering $2m during the 2019 general elections. . . Uyiekpen Giwa-Osagie was rearraigned alongside his younger brother, Erhunse Giwa-Osagie for conspiring to make cash payment of $2m without going through a financial institution during the 2019 general election period.

       A newborn baby who was infected with the coronavirus at five days old has been discharged from a hospital following a full recovery in Zhengzhou, central China’s Henan province. He is the youngest cured coronavirus patient in China. All patients at the "Wuhan Livingroom" makeshift hospital have been discharged or transferred by Saturday afternoon. The hospital will be fully disinfected and is expected to officially close on Sunday.More photos below.

       With no nose and only a single eye, an alien-looking calf was born in the Bardhaman district of West Bengal in India and is now worshipped by villagers as a god. “Ever since it was born, people have formed crowds to see the bizarre calf and they now consider it to be a miracle of god,” said the owner.More photos below.

Okoroafor was dismissed as a Minister after the leadership of the church considered a report of his alleged immoral relationship with a United States, US, based woman, Mrs Maurrissal Nwosu. His dismissal was announced during the church’s General Committee emergency sitting yesterday.
