 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. GENERAL BUHARI'S CAMPAIGN SMS TO RAISE FUND,SHUT-DOWN BY NCC.

                   According to sources today thursday said that the NCC {Nigerian Communications Commission} has shut down the 35350 SMS platform for raising fund for General Muhammed Buhari presidential campaign.With the SMS code,Nigerians willing to donate to Buhari's campaign simply had to send APC to the code to contribute N100 to the campaign either using MTN,GLO,ETISALAT,AIRTEL and Visaphone.Governor Fashola confirmed the story by speaking to the press yesterday wednesday afternoon saying ''The NCC has shut down the 35350 platform for sending N100 message to the Buhari fund raising campaign yesterday afternoon.Before it was shutdown,5400 people had contributed N100 to the Buhari campaign fund using the platform''.The SMS platform was launched in Lagos on tuesday.One more photo below.                                           ...
