PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.         The EFCC on November 19, 2019, arraigned Theophilus Madami, a serving Councillor, before Justice Darius Khobo of State High Court Kaduna, on a two Count charge bordering on Issuance of Dud Cheque amounting to N 2, 310,000 (Two Million, Three Hundred and Ten Thousand Naira). Madami is currently on remand in prison custody following an earlier arraignment on November 14, 2019 on another matter of Criminal Breach of Trust and OBT brought against him.

      The EFCC, Sokoto Zonal Office on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 secured the conviction of one Emmanuel Adedeji Oluwatosin, whose name was on the wanted list of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a wanted person. He was convicted by Justice M S. Sifawa of the Sokoto State High court sitting in Sokoto, on a 1- count charge bordering on Internet Fraud to the tune of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand United State Dollars ($150, 000.00).More photos below.

      Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of a Kwara State High Court in Ilorin on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 adjourned till January 2020 for Judgment in a criminal case filed against a suspected vote buyer, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir. Abdulkadir was arrested on March 9, 2019 for allegedly sharing money to voters in order to compromise the outcome of Governorship and State House of Assembly Election in his Polling Unit.

       The EFCC, Lagos office, today, November 19, 2019, arraigned a couple, Mrs. Ovuomarhoni Naomi Isidoro and Mr. Rowley Isioro, a former Assistant General Manager with of one of the first generation banks (name withheld) and their companies, Multaid Plus Limited and Global Investment Network. They were arraigned before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on a seven-count char ge bordering on conspiracy to commit felony to wit money laundering, receiving fraudulently obtained property, transfer of criminal proceed to nominee and money laundering to the tune of $975,424 (Nine Hundred and Seventy Five Thousand, Four Hundred Twenty Four United States Dollars). The defendants allegedly received monies from illegal activities carried out by one Michael Uziewe (at large) in the United States of America with the aim of assisting Michael Uziewe bring the proceeds made from the illegal activities into Nigeria.

      Justice Adama Iyami- Lamikanra of the Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has convicted and sentenced a former Manager of Diamond Bank Plc (now Access Bank), Chinyere Oti and a former Account Officer of the same bank, Odigboh Okechukwu, to two years imprisonment for defrauding the bank the sum of N25, 018, 467.00k (Twenty Five Million, Eighteen Thousand, Four Hundred and Sixty- Seven Naira only). The convicts were arraigned on November 19, 2009 by the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the EFCC on seven count charges bordering on conspiracy and stealing. This was revealed on Saturday, 16 November 2019, by the NAFOWA Chairperson, Kaduna State Chapter, Doctor (Mrs) Safiya Suleiman, during the flag-off ceremony of a one-day medical outreach organized by the Association at Hayin Banki Community, in Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Medical services provided during the outreach include medical consultations, counseling and screening as well as dental care, eye treatment and deworming of children.     Remember the naked emaciated lady found in Ajah with rumours flying around that she was thrown out of a moving car? She has been rehabilitated and now looks healthy. The woman, whose name has been given as Ene, was seen in October at Jubilee Bridge, Ajah. She had no clothes on and was so skinny, her bones were prominent. Different people gave differing accounts of how she came to be found at the bridge. As her story went viral, help came in the form of a kind Nigerian woman who rushed her to the hospital and got her medical treatment.        The Lagos State Government has condemned the recent increase in reported cases of assault on Lagos State Traffic officers by unscrupulous members of the public, vowing to prosecute anyone caught assaulting officers in the course of carrying out their official duties and responsibilities. The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olajide Oduyoye, disclosed, during his comments on a recent incident of assault by a commercial bus dri ver at Costain, that the Lagos State Government will, henceforth, prosecute and severely punish offenders as well as motorists and other road users who violate traffic laws.     Yesterday , The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall carried out their first full day of engagements in New Zealand, the second country on Their Royal Highnesses’ Autumn tour.   # RoyalVisitNZ The Prince and The Duchess first attended a Service of Remembrance at Mt Roskill War Memorial, where The Prince laid a wreath to commemorate all those who fought and died in the New Zealand forces in WWI.
