CABLE VANDALISM: SUSPECT CAUGHT IN ABIA COMMUNITY. (PHOTO).

Abia State Community Policing Vigilante has arrested an electric cable thief, simply identified as Samuel, while vandalizing power installations along Isi Court-Ikputu road in Isiala Ngwa area. While two out of the three thieves escaped with their operational tricycle, the leader of the syndicate identified as Samuel, from Ebonyi State was apprehended by the Community Policing Vigilante. The arrest of the suspect was made known by the Commander of Abia State Community Policing Vigilante in the area, K.C. Martins. Martins, who said that efforts have been intensified by his men to arrest the two fleeing members of the criminal gang, commended Governor Alex Otti’s administration’s determination protecting the lives and property of the people in the State. SHELL NIGERIA TO START UP PRODUCTION,FROM BONGA PHASE 3.

                  This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Mr Precious Okolobo,the Corporate Media Relations Manager today monday.The statement quoted Mr Andrew Brown,Shell's Upstream International Director,as saying ''This new start up is another important milestone for Bonga,adding valuable new production to this major facility''.Brown said that Bonga Phase 3 is an expansion of the Bonga Main development,with peak production expected to be some 50,000 barrels of oil equivalent.He said that this would be transported through existing pipelines to the Bonga floating production storage and offloading {FPSO} facility.Brown said that the FPSO had the capacity to produce more than 200,000 barrels of oil and 150 million standard cubic feet of gas a day.According to the statement,the Bonga field,which began producing oil and gas in 2005,was Nigeria's first deep water development in depths of more than 1,000 metres.Bonga has produced ov...

ANOTHER ISLAMIST GROUP APART FROM BOKO HARAM,IS CLAIMING THEY WERE BEHIND ABUJA FRIDAY BOMB BLAST.

                   It was reported today monday by Reuters that some Islamist militants yesterday sunday via twitter said they were behind the suicide bombings near the Nigerian capital Abuja which killed at least 15 people.According to the statement,they said they had conducted the suicide bombings.The authenticity of the statement,which did not mention Boko Haram and was issued under the name Islamic state West Africa,could not be verified.Are they trying to tell we Nigerians that we are battling with two Islamist group,not one?.One more photo below.                                                                                                                 ...

F.G CONFIRMS TODAY THAT DIEZANI WAS ARRESTED IN LONDON.

                          It was confirmed monday today by the Federal Government that former oil Minister Diezani Alison Madueke was indeed arrested in London on suspicion of bribery and money laundering.Presidential spokesman Garba Shehu said ''Nigeria is aware of the arrest of the former petroleum minister in London on money laundering charges.The government has been informed and the DSS {Department of State Services} is collaborating with the relevant security agencies in the UK to handle the ''.

197 NIGERIANS WHO WERE DISPLACED IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC,RECEIVED BY NEMA OVER THE WEEKEND

                    Over the weekend,NEMA {National Emergency Management Agency} received 197 Nigerians that were displaced by the crises in Central African Republic who have been taking refuge in the Republic of Cameroon under the International Organization for Migration {IOM}.Director General of NEMA Muhammad Sani Sidi who received the returnees in Sahuda border post near Mubi in Adamawa state said about two years agofollowing the escalation of the crises in the Central African Republic,the Federal Government through NEMA had evacuated its citizens through the airport,these could not be reached because they had crossed over to the Republic of Cameroon.He said under international charter which Nigeria was signatory,the Nigerians were free to decide when to return back home especially given the cover of the International Organization which had opened camps for them in that country.According to him,as IOM was closing the camps they inform...
