 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. The Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway is a multi-state infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and economic activities across northern and southern Nigeria. More...

A MAN WAS FOUND DEAD,IN HOLLYWOOD ACTRESS DEMI MOORE'S SWIMMING POOL YESTERDAY.

            Yesterday saturday night,a man was found dead in the 52 year old Hollywood actress Demi Moore's pool.Law enforcement said the 21 year old man apparently drowned in the pool and his body was discovered early today sunday morning.While Demi Moore is currently out of town,a neighbour told the press that ''Dem's kids have been staying at the house for weeks and have been throwing parties everyday,day and night''.Other sources said the man was invited by an assistant to the birthday celebration,and the man could not swim after he slipped and fell into the pool.Though there use of alcohol used to be limited but sources further claimed that Demi and her children did not throw the birthday party.The police is still investigating what really happened and how come the man died in the pool.More photos below.                                           ...

                 A Ku Klux Klan chapter and an African American group plan overlapping demonstrations yesterday saturday outside the South Carolina State House,where state officials removed the Confederate battle flag last.Governor Nikki Haley,who called for the flag's removal from the State House grounds after the killing of nine African Americans in a Charleston church last month,urged South Carolinians to steer clear of of the Klan rally.On Haley's facebook page,he wrote ''Our family hopes the people of South Carolina will join us in staying away from the disruptive,hateful spectacle members of the Ku Klux Klam hope to create over the weekend and instead focus on what brings us together''.The Charleston shooting rekindled a controversy that has long surrounding the Confederate flag.Opponents see the flag as its displayed as a painful reminder of the South's pro-slavery past,while supporters see it as an honorable emblem of Southern heritag...

                 Yesterday saturday,the House of Representatives postponed its resumption date which was earlier scheduled for July 21,2015 to tuesday July 28,2015.This was contained in a statement signed by Mr M.A Sano Omolori,Clerk House of Representatives issued in Abuja states that ''This is to inform all Honourable Members of the House of Representatives of the postponement of the resumption of plenary session from the adjourned date of Tuesday,21st July 2015 to Tuesday,28th July 2015.Honourable members are advised to take note of the new date of resumption according,please''.

                           74 year old Brazilian ex-footballer Pele,who underwent a prostate surgery in May,is now receiving treatment in the same Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo Brazil.There were no immediate details on why he was rushed to the hospital but sources claimed that he had back surgery on thursday.December 2014,he spent two weeks in the hospital treating a urinary tract infection that stemmed from a surgery to remove kidney stones the previous month.I hope he recovers soon.
