PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.                   According to sources,President Jonathan spoke today sunday at the Aso Villa Chapel,where a valedictory service was held for him,to mark the end of his five year reign in Nigeria.Jonathan who noted that no system including his administration is perfect,and he urged Nigerians to forgive him in any way he has erred.He said since nobody was perfect,there was no way he would not have done some things that some people would found annoying,saying he did not do such things deliberately.He also observed that there are times one would take a decision in the best interest of all but even friends would misunderstand the situation.More photos below.                                                                                    ...

                President elect General Muhammadu Buhari,has released a statement through his media team saying that ''From May 29,2015the president elect and hid vice president  elect are to be respectively known and addresses as Muhammadu Buhari,President,Commander in Chief of the Armed forces,Federal Republic of Nigeria and Prof Yemi Osinbajo SAN,Vice President,Federal Republic of Nigeria ''.The statement was signed by the Director of Media and publicist  of General Buhari.Even the official portrait for Buhari and Osinbajo is out today.Well is as if General Buhari read my mind,it will seem as if we are being ruled by the military.good thinking.View the portrait below though most people said the portraits looks ugly.                        

7 DEAD,27 WOUNDED AS A FEMALE SUICIDE BOMBER,BLEW UP HERSELF IN DAMATURU.

          A young female suicide bomber,suspected to be working for the Islamic group Boko Haram,blew up herself in Damaturu the capital of Yobe state,killing atleast seven people yesterday Saturday.The girl detonated the explosives at a busy market near a bus station.Al least 27 people were wounded,and ambulances continued to bring in the injured.There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast,but all fingers are pointed to the Islamic terrorist group,Boko Haram.I thought by now,all these bombing will stop immediately the elections.May the souls of the 7 dead people,rest in perfect peace Amen.

THE 18 SUSPECTS OF THE FAILED COUP IN BURUNDI CRIES OUT,AFTER THEY WERE CHARGED TO COURT YESTERDAY.

                         The Burundi Government,took the 18 suspects who were involved in the failed coup against President Pierre Nkurunziza to the High Court yesterday Saturday.The fate of General Godefroid Niyombare,who had announced the take over of President Pierre Nkurunziza on wednesday,was still not clear,yesterday saturday.Family members of two of the 18 men taken to court told pressmen that the suspects had raw wounds on their bodies and one of them had lost hearing in one of his ears due to a beating in the cells.One of the men identified as Juvenal Niyunheko,a senior officer,was escorted into the court without shoes and restrained by handcuffs.It was not immediately clear what charges they were facing.Christella Harerimana,a lawyer representing three of the suspects,said one of her clients had been walking barefoot since he was arrested and that he had been held in a house rather than a police cell,contrary to ...

                       A personal assistant to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state,Mr Ekume Amaechi,has been charged to the Ogidi Magistrate court in Idemili North Local Government Area,following his alleged illegal acquisition of over 500 plots of land in the area.Ekume was also accused of selling ten plots of land in the area totaling the sum of N39million belonging to the family of Igwe Amobi the traditional ruler of the Ogidi community.The Personal Assistant to Obiano on Urban Development {Ekume} was charged to court along with one Mr Arinze Okonkwo,Sunday Nwoka and Madako Peter Obi by the state police command.Speaking with reporters in Ogidi,one of the Plaintiffs Chief Chibzor Amobi,alleged that the accsed persons had sold four plots of land at the cost of 15 million naira and another six plots of land at the cost of N24 million naira.According to the sit they were sued on a four count charges of breach of peace,misdem...

A CATHOLIC PRIEST IN ONITSHA OBINNA,WAS SHOT SEVERAL TIMES BY UNKNOWN GUNMEN.

                                                       On tuesday, a Catholic priest in Onitsha area,Anambra state,Rev Fr Obinna Emmanuel,popularly known as Ebube Muonso,escaped assassination attempt this after unidentified gunmen ambushed him in his parish and shot him severally.The priest,who has a catholic healing ministry,was returning to his parish house at St Mary Catholic Church,Umudioka a few kilometers to Onitsha,when a gang stopped him in front of the parish and shot him and his driver several times.The incident that happened on tuesday,happened immediately the priest had finished conducting his weekly prayer at a crusade and was returning to the parish.His car was badly damaged by the bullets.Father Emmanuel confirmed the incident to the Onitsha Relief Market traders,where he went for the crusade.He said after the incident he went to the ...
