 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. FEDERAL HIGH COURT IN LAGOS,NULLIFIED LADIPO MARKET ELECTION & SACKED THE EXECUTIVES.

                  An election was conducted by the traders under their registered Union where Comrade Kingsley Ogunor emerged as the Chairman and the President of the Central body called Ladipo Auto Central Executive Committee,LACEC.However,Justice Mohammed Yunusa of the Federal High Court Lagos,nullified the election and ordered Ogunor and his executive not to parade themselves as leaders of the market union.The judgment followed the suit filed by aggrieved members of the union over the outcome of the election.The suit was filed by Leonard Onwughalu and others against Kingsley Ogunor and his executives.The plaintiffs asked the court to declare as follows,that the activities carried out by the defendants outside the union's constitution as registered with the Corperate Affairs Commission were unconstitutional,illegal,null and void.That the election and assumption of office by the defendants as executives of the union was unconstitutional,null and void.An order to dissolve the execu

21 KIRIKIRI PRISON INMATES,FREED TODAY BY LAGOS CHIEF JUDGE.

                                                                   Today wednesday,21 inmates were freed by the Chief Judge of Lagos state Justice Oluwafunmilayo Atilade.The release was in exercise of the powers conferred on her under section 1 {1} of the Criminal Justice Release from Custoday Act Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2007.Most of the inmates released were those who have spent more time than they would have if convicted of the crimes for which they are facing trial.Admonishing the lucky inmates,Justice Atilade urged them to keep away from crime and henceforth be of good behaviour.Justice Atilade said her visit to the prison to release inmates would be a continuous exercise.''Those of you released should henceforth be of good behaviour.The state government is committed to a crime free Lagos and any one found committing crime will be arrested and prosecuted''.The CJ also appealed to non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders working with the prison

13 KILLED,45 INJURED AS 2 BOMB EXPLODED IN BORNO STATE MARKET,YESTERDAY.

                  A Hospital source said,Bomb's found at an abandoned strong hold of Boko Haram Islamist exploded,killing at least 13 people and injuring 45 others.The two devices went off as people were taking them past a market to be defused at a military base yesterday tuesday afternoon.The two explosives were found in a bag on the side of a road outside the town of Monguno in Borno state.Umar Zanna,a member of a Local militia force set up to defend the town said ''The bombs killed 10 of our members and three other persons nearby''.A Doctor from the hospital where the 45 people are being treated {name with held} said ''we have commenced treatment of the 45 people who were injured from the blast''

NIGERIA FEMALE FOOTBALL TEAM,KICKED OUT OF THE WORLD CUP,BY THE U.S.A TEAM.OMG.

                     The United State female football tean,had knocked out Nigeria from the World cup,with just one golden right kick from a U.S player Abby Wamback.The scores ended in 1-0.So now the U.S female team have qualified to be in Group D in the World Cup.The United States dominated Nigeria from the opening kick,but it too until the 45th minutes for the Americans to finally get on the scoreboard.Abby Wambach capitalized on a perfect cross from Megan Rapinoe to put team USA up 1-0.The United States advances to the knockout stage where they will face either Thailand,France or Spain.In the game,Nigeria players received three yellow cards,including one to defender Sarah Nnodim.It was her second of the tournament,resulting in a red card and ejection.One more photo below.
