 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. A SUICIDE BOMBER,SHOT DEAD BY SOLDIERS BEFORE HE COULD DETONATE HIS BOMB,IN BUI TODAY.

              According to sources,a suicide bomber blew himself up at a crowed bus station in Biu,Tashar Gandu motor park today thursday,while a second bomber was shot dead before he could detonate his explosives.Babagana Kyari,a eyewitness,who is also a vigilante said ''Atleast 18 people including three women,died and several others were injured.Two men came as if they were travellers and one of them detonate his explosives in the midst of travellers and petty traders,but the second man was shot and killed by soldiers before he could pull the trigger.The first bomber caused many casualties,but the second bomber was killed and his body is still lying at the scene with the explosives on it''.                

9 PRIVATE UNIVERSITY IN NIGERIA,APPROVED BY THE FEDERAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

                     The numbers of private universities in Nigeria increased from 51 to 60 as 9 more private universities was approved and issued license by the Federal Executive Council chaired by the Vice President of Nigeria,Namadi Sambo.The new universities are,The Augustine university,Ilara Lagos state,Chrisland university,Owode Ogun state,Christopher university,Mowe Ogun state,Hallmark university,Ijebu Itele,Ogun state,Kings university,Ode Omu,Osun state,Michael and Cecillia Ibru university,Orode Delta state,Mountain Top university Ogun state,Ritman university,Ikot Ekpene Akwa Ibom state and Summit university,Offa Kwara state.
