PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. 2 POLICE OFFICERS WERE RECENTLY ARRESTED IN BAYELSA STATE,FOR MOUNTING ROAD-BLOCKS.

                        Two officer working in the Bayelsa State Police command have been arrested for mounting roadblocks against the directives of the Force Headquarters.It was gathered that the new state's Commissioner of Police,Mr Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi,ordered the arrest of the unidentified indicted officers following an investigation.Ogunjemilusi,who confirmed the arrest at the weekend said it would send strong message to other officers and men of the police in the command.He reiterated that roadblocks had been cancelled across the country including Bayelsa by the Inspector-General of Police {IGP}.He said the arrest officers would be sanctioned adding that they could be demoted to serve as deterrent to others.He said the police were only allowed to adopt targeted or sporadic stop-and-search aimed at specific crime in policing the highways.The police boss said he had passed an instruction that any person who stops a vehicle ...

                 A report released by The Economist Intelligence Unit ranked one of Nigeria largest city ''Lagos'',as the third worst city to live.The city according to CCTV,maintains its position at the lowest rungs of the Global Liveability index.Several other global reports had also said that Lagos,with a population of over 22 million,would in the next few years become the 4th mega city in the world,with a population of over 30 million.The city is placed 138th out of the 140 cities ranked in the latest liveability survey,just above war-ravaged Tripoli andd Damascus.Lagos scored highest in culture and environment,followed by infrastructure.It scored lowest in stability.The top five best countries to live in,remain unchanged from las year and they include Melbourne in Australia,Vienna in Austria,and Vancouver,Toronto and Calgary all in Canada.Off the record,am sure who ever is putting these survey together,have never been to Lagos Nigeria be...
