 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting.                Today May 1st,the world celebrates workers day or Labour day but the big question is these,how do the government treat these workers after they have retired?.It has come to my notice that most of the Lagos state staffs especially those in the education sector have not been paid their pension since two ago they retired.Don't the government think these retirees have family to feed?,or are they expecting the retirees to die off and forget their entitlement?.Is not enough to have a match past today in a big stadium or declare public holiday to mark today,but to address the issues surrounding the pension scheme in Nigeria for retirees,the welfare of the old,the handicapped,and the sick.Most of the retirees are lucky to come from a wealthy background,what about those that don't have anybody to give to them,what will be their fate?.Now in Nigeria there is no job for old graduate talkless of new graduate and they said we should mark workers...

BILL CLINTON AND HIS DAUGHTER CHELSEA,ARRIVES KENYA YESTERDAY FOR SOME CHARITY PROJECT.

                         According to sources,former US president Bill Clinton and his daughter Chelsea Clinton,arrived Kenya yesterday friday on behalf of the Clinton foundation for a visit of charity projects around the country that are run by the foundation.They first visited Kenya's Mbagathi District Hospital yesterday friday morning and Clinton's daughter Chelsea praised the work of the hospital's maternity unit.The maternal program of the hospital is supported by the Clinton foundation.Over the weekend they are expected to forcus on issues to do with investing in women and also empowering them.They will also address matters of climate change.Clinton and his daughter started their nine days tour in Tanzania,which will also take them to Liberia and Morocco.Some of the projects that are run by the Clinton foundation in Tanzania include commercial farm projects and partners with thousands of neighboring small holder farm...
