  Germany’s former finance minister slapped with ‘soap’ cake on campaign trail Germany's former finance minister Christian Lindner was slapped with a cake that he said was made out of soap during a campaign trail speech in Greifswald on Thursday, 9 January. The Free Democratic Party leader was speaking at a campaign event for his party when a woman appeared on stage and threw a plate of soap foam in his face. As he wiped soap the foam off and threw some on the woman's hair, Mr Lindner said: "Unfortunately, it wasn’t cream, it was just soap... you could have done that better, then I would have got something out of it." Doja Cat Overtakes Cardi B as Second Highest-Selling Female Rapper in History


American rapper Doja Cat has surpassed Cardi B to become the second highest-selling female rapper globally, as confirmed by Billboard.


Nicki Minaj retains the top position both in the U.S. and worldwide. In the U.S., Doja Cat now ranks second, followed by Megan Thee Stallion in third, and Cardi B in fourth.


Globally, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, and Cardi B are the top three highest-selling female rappers.


Billboard's rankings, based on performance on the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts, also named Taylor Swift the biggest artist of the 21st century, Drake as the top rapper, Maroon 5 as the biggest group, and Destiny's Child as the top girl group.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
