M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration.  Soludo Issues 7-Day Ultimatum to Owners of Illegal Structures in Onitsha South

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has issued a seven-day ultimatum to owners of illegal structures in Onitsha South Local Government Area to present valid building approvals and land ownership documents.

The directive targets structures erected without authorization on government-owned land, including buildings constructed along waterways. According to the state government, such developments obstruct natural drainage channels, contributing to recurrent flooding and severe environmental degradation in the area.

Governor Soludo emphasized that the exercise is part of his administration’s ongoing efforts to enforce urban planning regulations, protect the environment, and ensure public safety. He warned that any structure found to be illegal after the expiration of the seven-day grace period would face appropriate sanctions, including possible demolition.

Residents and property owners have been advised to comply promptly with the directive to avoid enforcement actions by relevant government agencies.
