The statement comes after Iran fired hundreds of various ballistic missiles towards Israel. Iran described it as the beginning of its “crushing response” to Israeli attacks on the country on Friday. DAILY POST reported that the Israeli military carried out dozens of airstrikes on Iran. However, in a post on X on Friday, the ex-minister claimed that the Iranians were lured into a false sense of security by the United States while Israel was preparing for war. Fani-Kayode said: “The Islamic Republic of Iran has finally hit back and struck the Jewish state with missiles and drones. This was inevitable and it is just the beginning. “The attack on Iran by Israel was not only unprovoked but is also a condemnable violation of international law. It is indeed a declaration o...

Trump to Iran: Make nuclear deal ‘before it is too late’ U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Iran to conclude an agreement with Washington on its controversial nuclear programme, amid a series of Israeli strikes on nuclear facilities and military leaders. “There is still time to make this slaughter come to an end,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social on Friday. “Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire,” Trump continued. “JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.” Observers consider it unlikely that Iran’s leadership would opt for a diplomatic approach in light of the Israeli attacks. Israeli media reported that Tehran had retaliated with an attack involving about 100 drones, all of which were shot down. “I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal,” Trump wrote. “The U.S. makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR, and Israel has a lot of it, with much more to c...

I got married on March 31, 2001. It has been 24 years since then, and I was 57 years old when I gave birth to my children. I am 58 years old now. What do you think must have delayed your conception after marriage? In 2002, I had surgery to remove fibroids. The doctor assured me that everything looked fine. My husband also went for medical checks, and everything was perfect. But since then, we’ve had no comfort; we kept moving from one hospital to another, hoping for a solution. I’ve done the procedure known as ‘flushing’ almost 10 times, but still, no comfort. Eventually, in 2019, I decided to go for IVF. By God’s grace, it worked, and I b...

There are 102 Nigerians on the list as recipients of the national honours as against 66 announced by President Bola Tinubu on Thursday. KENNETH OKONKWO: PETER OBI BETRAYED ME — HE’S COMMITTING POLITICAL SUICIDE. (PHOTO).

Image
Kenneth Okonkwo: Peter Obi betrayed me — he’s committing political suicide Kenneth Okonkwo, a former chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), has accused Peter Obi, the party’s standard-bearer in 2023, of betraying him.  In an interview with Symfoni TV, Okonkwo said Obi failed to manage the leadership crisis that has rocked the party since the 2023 election. He claimed that Obi aligned with the Julius Abure-led faction of the party, which is allegedly hobnobbing with the All Progressives Congress (APC). Okonkwo said Obi repeatedly ignored calls to distance himself from Abure’s faction. The former LP spokesperson also faulted Obi’s leadership style, saying the ex-Anambra governor lacks the traits of a team player and an effective manager. He pointed to instances where Obi reportedly endorsed non-LP candidates during elections, alienating loyal party members.  “When we started in 2023, it was an organic movement. Every Nigerian wanted change. Every Nigerian was dissatisfied wit...

While some European countries offer student-friendly visa processes, post-study opportunities, and part-time work options, others are becoming increasingly challenging for prospective international students. In 2025, several European nations have tightened entry processes, made visa appointments nearly impossible to secure, or created unfavorable conditions for international students. Whether due to bureaucratic bottlenecks, high rejection rates, or restrictive student policies. Here are six European countries international students may want to avoid in 2025, especially if you are applying from Africa. 1. This began as Israel launched a large-scale air assault on Iranian territory on Friday, targeting nuclear and military facilities. Among the sites hit were nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordo, and Isfahan, as well as military command centres. The attacks, which came in the early hours of Friday, a traditional day of rest in Iran, reportedly killed high-ranking Iranian officials and nuclear scientists. In response to this, Iran described the strikes as a “declaration of war” and launched retaliatory missile attacks on Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and the Gush Dan region. Dozens were injured, and at least one person died from injuries sustained during the strikes, according to Israeli media. Key Developments: Strikes on Nuclear Infras...

Image
GOOGLE TO DISCONTINUE ANDROID'S INSTANT APPS IN DECEMBER Android developers will no longer be able to access Instant Apps by December 2025. Google said this development became necessary because user engagement with the platform is terribly low. Launched in 2017, Android's Instant Apps make it easy for testers and early adopters to test the features of an app - through a web link - without downloading it. A warning inside Android Studio disclosed that: "Instant Apps support will be removed by Google Play in December 2025. Publishing and all Google Play Instant APIs will no longer work. Tooling support will be removed in Android Studio Otter Feature Drop.”   Google spokesperson Nia Carter, said the digital company chose to discontinue because “usage and engagement of Instant Apps have been low, and developers are leveraging other tools for app discovery such as AI-powered app highlights and simultaneous app installs.”

Shortly after the Grammy-award winner took delivery of his supercar, Davido also bought a 2026 Mercedes Maybach SL 680 for N1.2 billion. This is against the background that earlier before Burna Boy and Davido bought their machines, Wizkid bought a car allegedly costing N1.7 billion.
