Atiku Meets Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday paid a visit to former President Goodluck Jonathan at his residence in Abuja. The encounter is their first since Jonathan returned from an election observation mission in Guinea-Bissau. Sharing pictures of the meeting on his verified social media platforms on Sunday, Atiku wrote, “It was a pleasure catching up with former President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday evening, following his recent return from Guinea-Bissau.” Jonathan, who served as President from 2010 to 2015, lost his re-election bid in 2015 to Muhammadu Buhari. The visit comes days after Atiku’s official defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), having resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party over claims that the party had strayed from the principles of its founding fathers. There are indications that Atiku may emerge as the ADC’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election. One more photo below.

Combs was sentenced Friday to four years and two months in prison on two prostitution-related charges and was also ordered to pay a $500,000 fine. While Judge Arun Subramanian did not specify a particular facility, he noted that Combs should be placed in a prison offering substance abuse programs, including the Bureau of Prisons’ Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), for which Combs qualifies. Prosecutors took no position on where Combs should serve his sentence. Although Subramanian can recommend a facility, the Bureau of Prisons has the ultimate authority over his placement. On Tuesday, Combs’ legal team formally requested that he serve his sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey. HYUNDAI RECALLS 135,000 SANTA FE SUVS DUE TO FIRE HAZARD. (PHOTO).

Hyundai recalls 135,000 Santa Fe SUVs due to fire hazard Hyundai is recalling over 135,000 Santa Fe SUVs due to a manufacturing defect that could lead to an electrical fire in certain crash scenarios. The recall covers 2024 and 2025 model year Santa Fe vehicles with 2.5-liter turbocharged engines, produced between Dec. 28, 2023, and July 7, 2025, at Hyundai’s Alabama assembly plant. The issue involves the starter motor’s protective cover, which may not have been fully installed during assembly. If the terminal is exposed and the engine compartment is damaged in a crash, it could contact the cooling fan, creating an electrical short and increasing the risk of fire. Hyundai estimates that only about 1% of affected vehicles actually have the defect. The defect was discovered after a November 2024 NHTSA crash test revealed smoke in the engine compartment, prompting an investigation. As of Oct. 2, Hyundai reported no crashes, injuries, or deaths related to the issue outside of the test. Own...
