The encounter is their first since Jonathan returned from an election observation mission in Guinea-Bissau. Sharing pictures of the meeting on his verified social media platforms on Sunday, Atiku wrote, “It was a pleasure catching up with former President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday evening, following his recent return from Guinea-Bissau.” Jonathan, who served as President from 2010 to 2015, lost his re-election bid in 2015 to Muhammadu Buhari. The visit comes days after Atiku’s official defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), having resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party over claims that the party had strayed from the principles of its founding fathers. There are indications that Atiku may emerge as the ADC’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election. One more photo below.

Image
GHANA TARGETS NIGERIANS AGAIN: 92 SHOPS LOCKED AT SUAME MAGAZINE 12th September, 2025 Nigerian traders in Ghana are once more at the receiving end of hostility, as authorities in Kumasi locked up over 92 shops belonging mostly to Nigerians at Suame Magazine—West Africa’s largest hub for auto and metal works. Suame Magazine is the heartbeat of Ghana’s engineering industry, but instead of celebrating its diversity, officials have turned it into a ground for discrimination. Reports confirm that the majority of the affected shops belong to Nigerian spare parts dealers and repair retailers, leaving many families stranded and businesses crippled. This latest clampdown exposes the double standards of Ghanaian authorities, who continue to profit from the Nigerian market while shutting Nigerians out of their own. The silence from relevant agencies in Ghana only reinforces the perception that these attacks on foreign traders—particularly Nigerians—are deliberate, unfair, and inhumane. More ...

This was Fujian’s ninth sea trial since May 2024, fueling speculation that its official commissioning is near. Shirley Paamanick and her dog Sparky were enjoying a daytime stroll near a local shopping center in Orlando, Florida when out of nowhere, a large pit bull streaked onto the scene and began to attack her 14-year-old dog.  Shirley was dragged to the ground in the shuffle and began shouting for help. Although several people stood idly by watching the attack, no one came to her aide. Shirley, who weighs only 91 lb, had no choice but to take matters into her own hands. She began striking the pit bull with her cane...but to no avail. This spunky elderly woman even used her bare hands to try and pry the pit bulls jaws off of Sparky.
