 ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS A DOMESTIC WORKER WHO ABSCONDED WITH THE EMPLOYER'S VEHICLE   Police Operatives attached to the 33 Police Station in the late evening of 13th June 2025 acting on an intelligence-driven investigation, arrested one Mr. Divine Ifeanyi Nnalue at Ugbeji - Okpanam very close to Asaba in Delta State. The suspect is a domestic worker who allegedly stole a black Toyota Camry with Reg No: ENU 289 JF belonging to his employer at Trinity Avenue, Federal Housing in 33.  During the interrogation, the suspect confessed to having sold the car to an unidentified person.  A Texas man was caught on camera stealing a donation box set up for 19-year-old girl with stage 4 brain cancer. Ava Castillo has stage four brain cancer and is currently fighting bravely for her life. She is currently receiving radiation treatment at  Taylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas.  Not only has this been incredibly difficult physically for her, it has also been difficult financially for Ava's family. Every cent counts to this family and when Bush's Chicken on Lake Road agreed to place a donation box in their restaurant, it was a huge blessing. However, recently a shocking incident was caught on security cameras inside of the restaurant. While employees were busy, a young man can be seen stealing the donations that the community had placed in the box to help this struggling local family.  Sadly, Ava's mother was actually on her way to pick up the donations when the theft occurred.  An Iowa man opens fire in a minivan while arguing with his girlfriend. Four children and the girlfriend were struck, leaving a 4-year-old deceased. Sadly, a 4-year-old child is deceased after a shocking domestic violence incident that occurred at approximately 10 p.m. last night (June 14th) in Nashville, Tennessee.  According to local authorities, the incident began as a verbal altercation that escalated into a fatal shooting. Nashville Metro PD say a 41-year-old woman from Illinois, her 26-year-old boyfriend Jovien Smith and her 5 children where in Nashville to visit family. At some point while driving through Nashville, the mother and Jovien began arguing.  During the initial argument, Jovien threw the mother's cellphone from the window of the vehicle before grabbing the wheel and attempting to cause the vehicle to crash.  The mother was able to safely pull over to the side of the road. According to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, the coordinated crackdown—led by Divisional Police Officers in major urban areas—aims to restore public trust and strengthen internal security. During the operation, security agents recovered a significant cache of illicit items, including one AK-47 rifle magazine loaded with 31 rounds of live ammunition, 30 bags and approximately 1,600 wraps of substances suspected to be Indian hemp, and a stolen Honda Accord vehicle traced to Zaria.  SECURITY IN ANAMBRA: POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTS WHO ARE PART OF A CRIMINAL SYNDICATE THAT DEFRAUDED A VICTIM OF TWO TRUCKS LOAD OF CEMENT WORTH SEVENTEEN MILLION NAIRA Following a complaint received by Police Operatives attached to the 33 Police Station on how one Edwin Emeka of unknown address defrauded an unsuspecting member of the public of two trucks load of cement worth Seventeen million naira only, arrested one Nnanna Charles and Okoye Chukwunonso in possession of the rip-off goods. The victim met Edwin online and has been in communication with him.  U.S. President, Donald Trump is considering adding Nigeria and some African countries to a list of countries hit with a visa ban.   According to The Washington Post, an internal memo signed by Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State, said 36 countries might be affected by the travel ban if Trump approves it.   The Trump administration cited a lack of government transparency and a proper database to freely vet the backgrounds of travellers from these countries as the reason for the incoming ban, amid efforts by the government in Washington to reduce immigration to the United States.   The new list includes Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Egypt, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.   Others are Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Bhutan,...

 Swift Action by TRU Leads to Recovery of Hijacked Vehicle in Soweto On Friday, 13 June 2025, at approximately 19:05, Tactical Response Unit (TRU) members on crime prevention patrol in Soweto responded to a complaint from a hijacking and kidnapping victim. The victim had spotted his hijacked Mercedes-Benz C63s, now bearing false number plates, on Rathebe Street in Orlando. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle along with a suspect, who claimed he had purchased the car from a friend for R20,000 but was unable to provide any details regarding the seller’s whereabouts. Further inspection revealed that the vehicle’s VIN, license disc, and number plates had been tampered with. The suspect was arrested on the spot for possession of a hijacked motor vehicle and is currently detained at Orlando SAPS. Well done to the TRU team for their swift and effective response in recovering a high-profile stolen vehicle. Your dedication to public safety is commendable. More photos below.

 Police Launch Manhunt After Elderly Couple Fatally Shot in Rustenburg Police in Rustenburg have launched a manhunt following the brutal killing of an elderly couple in the parking lot of a shopping centre on the afternoon of Saturday, 14 June 2025. Preliminary investigations indicate that the couple was fatally shot after a confrontation with the occupants of a white Kia Rio with no number plates. Paramedics declared both victims dead at the scene. Police are appealing to members of the public who may have any information that could assist the investigation to contact Lt Col Mainganyo Nathaniël Phatsoane on 082 373 9571 or Lt Col Patrick Murunwa on 082 772 5999.
