Pedro Pascal's journey to stardom is a powerful reminder that success doesn't always come on our timeline.  The beloved Last of Us and Mandalorian actor recently revealed that he seriously considered quitting acting to become a nurse during his struggling years. "In my 30s I was supposed to have a career," Pascal said. "Past 29 without a career meant that it was over, definitely."  His older sister Javiera Balmaceda (now a producer at Amazon Studios) had to step in multiple times to stop him from giving up. "When Pedro would say, 'I'm going to nursing school' or 'I'm going to be a theater teacher,' it was just like 'No, no, no, no! You're too good!'" she recalled.  Pascal's friend Sarah Paulson even helped financially support him during those difficult years, sometimes giving him her per diem so he could eat.  Now at 50, Pascal is finally experiencing the career he always dreamed of, proving that it's ne...

In a stunning courtroom development, Sean "Diddy" Combs' defense team concluded their case in a mere 20 minutes on Tuesday, following nearly seven weeks of prosecution arguments that included testimony from over 30 witnesses.  The defense called zero witnesses to the stand, instead submitting only text messages between Combs and his ex-girlfriends as evidence. Combs confirmed he would not testify in his own defense, telling Judge Arun Subramanian, "It's my decision with my lawyers."  His legal team argued that federal prosecutors failed to meet their burden of proof on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution - charges that could result in life imprisonment if convicted.  Defense attorney Alexandra Shapiro argued that the alleged victims were "capable women who could have left on their own accord," while acknowledging Combs was "regrettably violent" but maintaining that "domestic violenc...

Senate Debate Erupts Over Non-Indigene RSIEC Chairman Appointment A heated debate disrupted proceedings in the Nigerian Senate today during the consideration of an ad-hoc committee report on the emergency rule in Rivers State, particularly regarding the screening and approval of Michael Odey, a non-indigene, as Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC). The session turned contentious as lawmakers clashed over the nomination of Odey, a Cross River State native, prompting strong objections from opposition figures. Senate Minority Leader Abba Moro expressed dismay, noting that the prior appointment of a non-Rivers sole administrator had already sparked concerns, and Odey’s selection further eroded ethical standards.  Texas parents are being charged with murder after investigators conclude their baby passed away when they put her in a drawer so they could "be intimate".  Jeremy Fancher and Destiny Campos were both charged with homicide this week in a Texas court room. These charges come after a year-long investigation into the May 2024 death of their 4 month old daughter, Brooklyn Fancher. On that date, Brooklyn was found unresponsive inside of a drawer at a Days Inn in Houston, Texas. Brooklyn was pronounced deceased on the scene and an autopsy confirmed she had passed away from suffocation.  During the hearing this week, the judge stated that Campos had admitted to placing the baby inside of the drawer on more than one occasion so that her and Fancher could have "intimate relations".   Although both Campos and Fancher are both facing homicide charges for their actions last May, they have since split up. Campos is now pregnant with another man's child and Fancher's new ...
