 NIGERIAN TROOP REPPELS ATTACKS, ELIMINATE SIX TERRORISTS Troops in Borno State have neutralized six terrorists in Mallam Fatori,  after it came under attack on Tuesday, 4th November 2025. It says with reinforcement from the main force of Sector 3, the troops successfully repelled the assault, which involved the use of armed drones and mortars, injuring some Civilian Joint Taskforce members and soldiers.   Recovered from the terrorists were 5 AK-47 rifles, 8 AK-47 magazines, 258 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 39 other ammo rounds, 5 RPG bombs, 4 armed drone bombs, 36 hand grenades, 2 bandoliers, and an Android phone.  George Banks, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, man who killed his family in 1982, dies in prison COLLEGEVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA - George E. Banks, a former prison guard from Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, who killed 13 members of his family in a 1982 shooting spree, has died at a state prison in Montgomery County. He was 83. The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections confirmed that Banks died of natural causes at the Correctional Institution — Phoenix, near Philadelphia. On September 25, 1982, Banks fatally shot five of his children and other relatives at homes in Wilkes-Barre and Jenkins Township, shocking the local community and marking the day as one of tragedy and horror. Banks was convicted by a jury and originally sentenced to death, but the sentence was later overturned after he was declared mentally incompetent, with his lawyer asserting that he was insane at the time of the killings.

 Group begins awareness campaign on FG opportunities for Niger Delta youths  The Niger Delta Progressives Alliance (NDPA), a regional advocacy or youth-focused group, has launched a campaign to sensitise youths across the Niger Delta on how to access federal government empowerment programmes aimed at improving their socio-economic conditions. At a one-day forum held in Asaba, Victor Udoh, NDPA convener, said many in the region miss out on federal interventions not due to exclusion but lack of information. Udoh cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) scheme, noting that 65 percent of beneficiaries are from northern Nigeria, while only 35 percent come from the south, mostly from the south-west.

  Court summons Odumodublvck over ‘criminal intimidation’ of Chocolate City boss A chief magistrate court sitting in Abuja has summoned Tochukwu Ojogwu, the rapper better known as Odumodublvck, over alleged criminal intimidation of Olayinka Osagie Onobun, head of A&R at Chocolate City Music. In a court summons dated November 3, 2025 and seen by TheCable Lifestyle, Farida Ibrahim, the chief magistrate, ordered the rapper to appear in person before the court on November 6, 2025, to answer charges levelled against him by the complainant. Onobun, who also serves as the A&R manager for rapper Blaqbonez, alleged that Odumodublvck intimidated him through a series of posts on X.
