We Are Not Your Wives/Bedmates- Rev Sister Blast Randy Rev. Father's.  --Religious Sisters Are Not Priests’ Wives or Bedmates By Rev. Sr. Annastasia Kinse  (Catholic Archdiocese Of Abuja) Religious Sisters are not ornaments in Habits. We are not commodities for priests to use at will, nor are we mistresses in veils. We are women called by God, consecrated to service, prayer, and the mission of the Church. Yet too often, behind stained glass windows and polished marble altars, we are treated as less. A priest once told me without shame: “Sisters are meant to be priests’ wives.” He did not say it in jest. He meant it. And he acted on it. This is not an isolated case. Too many Sisters know the pain of being reduced to temptation instead of being respected as collaborators in Christ’s vineyard. Too many know the silent wounds of manipulation—when a cleric uses “spiritual direction” as a cover for advances, or when financial benefactors expect our dignity in exchange for supp...

LORD HANUMAN WAS THE FIRST TO TRAVEL TO SPACE- BJP MP AND FORMER UNION MINISTER ANURAG THAKUR SPARKED DEBATE DURING A SCHOOL INTERACTION IN UNA. (PHOTO).

Image
BJP MP and former Union minister Anurag Thakur sparked debate during a school interaction in Una, Himachal Pradesh, after suggesting that Lord Hanuman was the first to travel to space. The remark came when children, asked who the first man in space was, mistakenly answered “Neil Armstrong.” Instead of correcting them with the name of Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, who went to space in 1961, Thakur replied, “I think it was Hanumanji,” and later shared the video on social media. The exchange revealed two major lapses: students not knowing the correct answer, and the parliamentarian reinforcing inaccuracy by blending mythology with science. While Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the Moon in 1969, Yuri Gagarin remains the first human to travel into space. The confusion has raised questions about the state of school education and the responsibility of public leaders to promote fact-based learning. Thakur defended his statement by urging students to look beyond textbooks and take ...

LGs are govs ATMs, should be scrapped – Adamu Garba Former presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adamu Garba has described the local governments as Automated Teller Machines, ATMs, of state governors in Nigeria. Garba called for the scrapping of the local governments, which he further described as “paper-only, money-sharing third tier of government”. In a statement he posted on his X page, Garba said it’s practically impossible to implement the Supreme Court’s ruling on local government autonomy. He said: “One of the most inefficient, ineffective back pocket of some state governors is the local government councils. “Local governments takes their legislation from the state assemblies and you know what that means. Autonomy or not, the LGs are still ATMs of some state governors. “In reality, there is no any country on earth that has third tier of government except Nigeria. “Since it proved to be non-workable, why not scrap it?” Garba also sugges...

Police apologize at grave of Japanese businessman wrongfully detained and deceased Japan’s top law enforcement officials publicly apologized to the family of a businessman who died after being wrongfully detained for months. Shizuo Aishima, a former adviser to machinery company Ohkawara Kakohki, was among three executives held in pretrial detention on charges that were later dropped. Human rights advocates have criticized Japan’s “hostage justice” system, in which prolonged detentions are used to pressure confessions. On Monday, senior officials from the Tokyo police and the city’s prosecutor’s offices visited Aishima’s family and grave, kneeling and praying in a formal apology. “We sincerely apologize for conducting the illegal investigation and arrest,” said Tetsuro Kamata, deputy superintendent-general of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police. Abrego Garcia files lawsuit to stop deportation to Uganda  Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was previously deported but returned to the U.S., filed a federal lawsuit Monday to block the Trump administration’s attempt to deport him again, this time to Uganda—a country to which he has no known connections. Abrego Garcia submitted a habeas petition in Maryland federal court after being taken into Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody on Monday morning during a routine check-in at the agency’s Baltimore office. In the sealed petition, his lawyers argue that although the government notified his attorneys on Friday of its plan to deport him to Uganda, Abrego Garcia himself was not informed, as a judge had previously ordered. The filing states that he was detained “without forewarning” and denied the opportunity to present concerns about potential persecution or torture in Uganda. His detention and the proposed deportation come just three days after he was released from federal crimi...

No matter how small your salary is, put something aside for your retirement,” Ideye wrote on X.   The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner made this remark against the lamentation of former Super Eagles defender Taribo West that Peter Rufai's family begged for money to give him a befitting burial. “They should be jailed for life if, after they retired from playing, they can’t feed themselves,” Ideye stated.

APC TO PDP GOVERNORS - YOU HAVE FAILED YOURSELVES, YOUR PARTY AND CITIZENS. (PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE.

PRESS STATEMENT APC TO PDP GOVERNORS - YOU HAVE FAILED YOURSELVES, YOUR PARTY AND CITIZENS Emerging from their meeting in Zamfara State on Saturday, August 23, 2025, the Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), again displayed their odiferous hypocrisy in a statement alleging undemocratic conduct by the All Progressives Congress (APC), opining that our great Party lacked agenda and vision, and that the electorate would deny it support in 2027. It is morbidly comical for the Governors of the PDP, a party in deep comatose, savagely crippled by intractable crisis of its own making, and turned an unrecognizable shadow of its old self, to be making statements that only aptly describe its own doomed fate, now and in the lead up to 2027.  The PDP has since fallen into ruins, and stands rejected by Nigerians. When its Governors gather in their scanty numbers, one would expect them to have some shame and concentrate on how to resuscitate their terminall...
