 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor.  TROOPS OF OPHK KILL 12 TERRORISTS IN  COMMANDO OPERATIONS, RECOVER ASSORTED ARMS, AMMUNITION IN IN BORNO STATE  The troops of Operation HADIN KAI supported by local security outfits have eliminated twelve ISWAP insurgents in a long-range offensive commando operations backed by ISR of the Air Component Command conducted from 29 - 30 August 2025.  The Troops during the offensive, cleared Tamsu Ngamdu, Dalakaleri and Gaza of terrorists’ activities. They however recovered AK-47 rifles and eight AK-47 rifle magazines fully loaded with 7.62mm rounds of ammunition.  Assorted packs of drugs and medical supplies used by the terrorists were also recovered by the resilient and dogged troops.  The military authorities have lauded the troops for the renewed vigour and urged the Theatre to sustain the onslaught.  Marafa confirms resignation from APC Senator Kabiru Marafa has confirmed his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC). The former Tinubu/Shettima 2023 Presidential Campaign Coordinator in Zamfara State disclosed this via a text message on Sunday. Marafa’s confirmation came after his political structure held a meeting in last Wednesday/ Thursday, where leaders unanimously resolved to dump the APC over what they described as injustice, neglect, and worsening insecurity in Zamfara State.  Tears As Seven Victims Of Ungwan Rimi Attack Laid To Rest In Kauru The community of Ungwan Rimi in Kamuru ward was thrown into mourning on Saturday as seven residents killed in last week’s gunmen attack were laid to rest. Family members, friends, and sympathizers gathered in grief as the victims were buried amid wails and prayers.  The August 24 assault left seven people dead, several injured, and parts of the community destroyed, marking yet another tragedy in Kaduna’s Kauru Local Government Area. Community leaders described the burial as a painful reminder of the fragility of life in the face of recurring violence, while many residents expressed anger over what they see as government failure to protect rural communities from incessant attacks. “The loss of these innocent lives is a wound on our hearts.  Suspect Arrested for Brutal Murder in Tjibeng Village A 40-year-old man is expected to appear before the Mecklenburg Magistrate’s Court in connection with the murder of a 37-year-old man at Tjibeng village during the early hours of Saturday, 30 August 2025. Police were alerted around 02:30 about a man found lying unconscious on the street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim in a pool of blood with severe head injuries. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue trousers, and white takkies. Several stones were also found next to the body, suggesting he was stoned to death. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned and certified the victim dead at the scene. An immediate manhunt was launched, and the suspect was apprehended later the same morning at about 07:30 in the same village. The motive behind the attack is still under investigation. Police indicated that the deceased, who is alleged to have been a security officer, will be identified in due course.

Dennis moved from Watford to Nottingham Forest in 2022 on a five-year contract for £10 million. But his contract was terminated after three years and he is free to join another club now. On 1 August 2025, a report was received on a suspected case of car theft involving one Salisu Ibrahim Abdullahi ‘m’ aged 31. Acting swiftly on the report, detectives deployed intelligence-driven techniques which led to the arrest of the principal suspect, Salisu Ibrahim Abdullahi in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Further investigation led to the arrest of three accomplices: Yenusa Salihu ‘m’ aged 45, a mechanic; Baba Jero Idris ‘m’ aged 49, a car dealer; and Abdullahi Aliyu ‘m’ aged 41, a businessman.  NIGERIAN RAPES 300 WOMEN IN IRELAND, ELON MUSK REACTS The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, has reacted after a Nigerian, Emmanuel Adeniji, was accused of sexually molesting between 21-300 elderly women.  Adeniji, who allegedly came to Ireland illegally got work at a HSE-run nursing home, where he was accused of raping a 73-year-old woman with mental impairment. While investigating the case, it came to light that the man may have also tampered with up to 300 women that had stayed at the home one time or the other, with many of them already dead.  "300?"  Gov Adeleke mourns as Nigeria’s oldest missionary, Ruth Elton dies in Osun Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has expressed sadness over the passing of a renowned missionary, Ruth Elton. Elton before her demise was described as the oldest missionary in Nigeria. In a statement released on Sunday through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke said Elton lived a life of service and made immense contributions to humanity. Elton, who died at the age of 91 in Ilesa, Osun State, was the daughter of Sydney Granville Elton, one of the pioneers of the Pentecostal revival movement in Nigeria. Governor Adeleke recalled that since her arrival in Nigeria in 1937 alongside her father, Elton had dedicated herself to spreading the gospel and providing grassroots healthcare initiatives to tackle medical challenges.
