 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. On Monday morning torrential rains lashed the northern island in the Atlantic archipelago located off West Africa, swamping roads and sweeping away vehicles and people. A female passenger on a Uyo–Lagos flight caused a scene when she reportedly refused to turn off her phone, slapped a flight attendant, and battled airport security as she disembarked . The viral footage showed the confrontation escalating until officials intervened and escorted her off the plane .  Lady shares past encounter with Ibom Air flight attendant at the centre of viral passenger incident A Nigerian lady has recounted her experience with the Ibom Air flight attendant currently at the centre of a viral altercation with a passenger. She claimed her own incident took place in November 2024 on a Lagos–Accra flight. According to her, the attendant spoke rudely to several passengers before ordering a man to switch off his phone “immediately.” The passenger reportedly questioned her tone but eventually complied. The woman alleged that the attendant later informed the pilot, prompting the aircraft to turn back on the taxiway due to what was described as a “threat” on board. The man was escorted off the plane by security officials before the flight resumed. She further described the attendant as “vindictive,” saying she continued to speak harshly and issue warnings to passengers for the remainder of the trip. More photos below.

 Ibom Air Denies Releasing Viral Video of Passenger Stripped Naked on Flight Ibom Air has categorically denied any involvement in the release of a viral video showing a passenger stripped naked aboard one of its flights, describing the incident as unfortunate and contrary to the airline’s values. In a statement to the press on Tuesday, Aniekan Essienette, Group Manager for Marketing and Communications at Ibom Air, clarified that while the video was recorded on one of the airline’s planes, it was not released by Ibom Air. “The video was recorded on the plane, but there were several people on board who were not Ibom Air employees. Anyone could have taken it,” Essienette said. “I can tell you categorically that Ibom Air did not release the video.
