CHRISTMAS EVENTS RETURN TO BETHLEHEM AFTER TWO YEARS OF GAZA WAR. (PHOTO).

Christmas events return to Bethlehem after two years of Gaza war  Families filled John Juka’s long-quiet restaurant on Saturday evening, marking a dramatic shift from the past two years when Bethlehem’s streets sat dark, shuttered, and silent. Strings of red lights now glow across the city, reflecting a slow but meaningful return of Christmas traditions to the historic birthplace of Jesus in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. After years of upheaval following the Gaza war, residents say the renewed festivities offer a fragile but welcome sign of relief and resilience. Juka, who watched his family’s restaurant sit empty through two holiday seasons, described the moment simply: “It’s not like it was before the war, but it feels like life is coming back again.” Bethlehem’s identity and livelihood are deeply tied to tourism, with the majority of its residents depending on pilgrims and visitors to keep the local economy moving. When the war erupted after the Hamas-led attack on Israe...

TAYLOR SWIFT DENIES TURNING DOWN SUPER BOWL HALFTIME PERFORMANCE. (PHOTO).

Image
Taylor Swift denies turning down Super Bowl halftime performance Taylor Swift has addressed rumors about turning down a Super Bowl halftime show, clarifying that her decision had nothing to do with appearance fees or video rights. On Monday, during an appearance on "The Tonight Show" to promote her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, host Jimmy Fallon asked Swift about claims that she declined the Super Bowl 60 halftime show because the NFL wouldn’t allow her to own the footage. Swift explained that her relationship with Jay-Z and Roc Nation, which produces the halftime show, is close and that no official offer was ever extended. “We’re always able to tell him the truth, which is that I am in love with a guy who does that sport on that actual field,” she said, referring to fiancé Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. “I’m just too locked in on what that man is doing on the field. Can you imagine he’s out there every single week, putting his life on the line in...

The Kennedy family home, before the White House listed for $7.5 million The Georgetown townhouse once owned by Jackie and John F. Built in 1811, the 5,200-square-foot home features five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, high ceilings, a parlor, dining room with garden access, a library, a walk-up attic, a one-car garage, and two additional parking slabs—offering a rare combination of space and historic charm in D.C. Located at 3307 N Street NW, the property was originally commissioned by William Marbury, the financier behind the landmark Supreme Court case Marbury v. Madison. The Kennedys moved in during 1957, living there for four years before relocating to the White House with their children, Caroline and John Jr., in January 1961. They sold the home later that year. TESLA ROLLS OUT LOWER-PRICED VERSIONS OF TWO EVS TO REGAIN MARKET SHARE DURING CHALLENGING YEAR. (PHOTO).

Image
Tesla rolls out lower-priced versions of two EVs to regain market share during challenging year Tesla introduced lower-priced versions of two of its electric vehicles on Tuesday, aiming to boost sales amid a challenging year, but the move failed to reassure investors, and the company’s stock dropped sharply. The new Model Y, priced just under $40,000 with a simplified interior, arrives as Tesla contends with an aging lineup, growing competition from foreign EV makers, and backlash tied to Elon Musk. Tesla also launched a more affordable Model 3 for under $37,000, which drops below $35,000 for New York buyers after state rebates. Analysts noted that the new offerings are far from the $25,000 vehicle Tesla once promised and may struggle to drive significant sales, especially following the expiration of the $7,500 federal EV tax credit. The stock market responded cautiously: Tesla shares fell 4.5% to $443.09 on Tuesday, after gaining more than 5% the previous day in anticipation of t...

Diddy’s lawyers ask for prison time to be served at Fort Dix  Diddy’s trial earlier this year drew widespread attention, focusing on allegations of human trafficking and prostitution. Combs was acquitted of racketeering but found guilty on two prostitution-related charges under the Mann Act, facing a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison. Prosecutors recommended a sentence of 11 years and three months, arguing it would reflect the seriousness of his convictions and align with similar cases. Judge Arun Subramanian ultimately sentenced Combs to just over four years, telling him it would be “hard time in prison, away from your family, friends, and community, but you will have a life afterward.” While the judge can recommend a facility, the Bureau of Prisons has the final decision on where Combs will serve his sentence. His legal team has indicated plans to appeal the sentence.
