2027: NORTH DOESN’T TRUST PETER OBI, ATIKU CAN’T DEFEAT TINUBU – ANTHONY SANI. (PHOTO).

Image
2027: North doesn’t trust Peter Obi, Atiku can’t defeat Tinubu – Anthony Sani Ahead of the 2027 general elections, former Secretary General of the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, Anthony Sani, has claimed that Northerners don’t trust Peter Obi enough to allow him to rule Nigeria for one single tenure. Sani also noted that the politics of zoning may not favour Atiku in his bid to defeat Tinubu. In this interview with DAILY POST, Sani noted that Tinubu stands a better chance to get Northern votes and retain his mandate in office. In 2027, who may likely pull Buhari’s bloc votes from the North between Tinubu, Atiku, and Peter Obi? President Bola Tinubu may still prevail. This is because former President Buhari had told the nation and his supporters that he was not favorably disposed to the coalition and what it stands for. This is because he is committed to APC which made him president twice. Given the nature of Buhari’s supporters, they would not like to betray him even in the grave....

Image
THE REMAINING 24 BIAFRAN INMATES REGAIN FREEDOM AFTER OVER FOUR YEARS OF UNLAWFUL DETENTION A momentous chapter was written today, Thursday, 17th July 2025, at the Ebonyi State High Court, as the last batch of 24 Biafran detainees, out of a group of 36 unjustly held since May 24, 2020, were finally discharged and acquitted of all lingering frivolous and unfounded charges. These innocent citizens had endured years of prolonged, unconstitutional detention under recycled and repackaged allegations/charges , even after being severally discharged and acquitted on the same facts by not less than five respectable High Courts in Ebonyi State. Today’s historic ruling followed our preliminary objection which powerfully highlighted the brazen violation of their fundamental rights: particularly the constitutionally guaranteed protection against double jeopardy, enshrined under Section 36(9) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). This sacred principle, autref...

NMA Slams Femi Adesina Over Claims on Nigerian Healthcare System The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has fiercely criticized Femi Adesina, former spokesperson to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, for his remarks disparaging Nigeria’s healthcare system. Adesina, in a recent television interview, claimed that Buhari, who passed away on July 13, 2025, at age 82 in a London clinic, might have died earlier if he had relied on Nigerian hospitals due to their lack of adequate equipment and expertise. Dr. Diamond Tamunokuro, Chairman of the NMA Rivers State chapter, in an interview with DAILY POST, described Adesina’s comments as an “insult to Nigerians” who depend on the country’s healthcare system for both basic and specialized care. He argued that the remarks reflect the failure of the Buhari administration, under which Adesina served, to advance healthcare development in Nigeria. “It’s an insult to well-meaning Nigerians to hear such statements from politicians,” Tamunokuro said...

Why did the chicken cross the road? He didn't, but one woman and her can of mace made sure the chicken got justice at the cost of her own freedom. 38-year-old Cynthia Sosa was out driving in Key West, Florida when she saw a chicken attempting to cross the road.  Soft hearted Cynthia felt for the plucky little chicken attempting to get to its destination. She worried the traffic at the busy intersection  would impede the little voyager or, in the worst case, cause an accident. Cynthia brought her vehicle to a complete stop and was content letting the chicken cross in front of her however long it might take. She was enjoying watching the chicken on its adventure. Unfortunately, not everyone is so caring and patient. Almost immediately, the impatient and obnoxious driver behind her began honking and exhibiting signs of anger and frustration.  As the tension continued to build, the agitated driver had enough and aggressively passed Cynthia, purposefully hitting the chic...
