LAGOS FIRST LADY ADVISES POST-PRIMARY TEACHERS TO INDULGE IN SELF DEVELOPMENT.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, said it is imperative for Post-Primary School teachers in Lagos State to invest in themselves in order to effectively teach and train students in a bid to ensure improved learning outcomes.

The First Lady, who gave the advice while delivering her address at the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) Webinar tagged "Performance Series 3.2”, stated that a teacher must be proactive by indulging in self-development and should not solely rely on the government for every training and knowledge acquisition.
She commended the Commission for taking a step ahead in the “new normal” through conscious improvement with the webinar training series, saying that “with every challenge, you must think it through on how best to proceed, be proactive and be prepared to improve learning methods in order to get the best out of any situation”.
The First Lady also noted that any individual that can effectively make use of a mobile phone device can use the zoom application to participate in a webinar training programme, maintaining that teachers, parents/guardian and indeed the students must learn and know how best to use the application.
The Chairman, Lagos State Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, Mrs. Elizabeth Olabisi Ariyo expressed her appreciation to the Lagos State First Lady for her attendance and words of wisdom towards ensuring that teachers are able to learn, unlearn and relearn while leveraging and improving on the “new normal”.
Mrs. Ariyo also applauded the kind gesture of the First Lady, especially the recent donation of Radio Sets, Batteries and other devices aimed at improving learning outcomes in Lagos Public Schools.
Resource persons invited for the Webinar Series 3.2 included Mrs. Ayopeju Njideaka, Managing Director, Nurture House Consulting and Mr. Abiodun Atobatele, Managing Director / CEO, ATB Techsoft Solutions Ltd, who lectured the 4840 participants on Leveraging Technology to Teaching Realities and Virtual Presentation Skills respectively.
