 A teenage young man suddenly got up and ran out of his best friend's house, with no shoes on. He was never seen alive again.  Traevion Pirtle, 18, was found deceased in Indianapolis at 8:45 p.m. on March 13th. He had been missing since March 7th. Traevion's friends say that on Saturday, March 7th, Traevion inexplicably ran out of the house with no shoes on. The young man gave no explanation. He just ran from the home on the 3600 block of Cedar Pine Lane. He left his cell phone and his car at the home and vanished. For the next week, friends and family desperately searched for Traevion. They canvased the area handing out flyers and talking to people. They were searching for any kind of answer. According to some people close to the case they were informed he had taken mushrooms. NHIA Unveils NAFDAC Logo For 33 Medical Products


National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has unveiled the logo the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) approved for use on 33 locally manufactured medical products for the Authority.


The Director General of NHIA, Professor Mohammed Sambo unveiled the logo to newsmen in Abuja during a joint conference with NAFDAC.


Professor Sambo explained that the collaboration was to ensure that subscribers have access to affordable and quality drugs, adding that it would solve the problem of out-of-stock syndrome in the nation’s health facilities.


The NHIA DG further said the authority was working with relevant agencies in the production and distribution of the drug to secure its quality.


NAFDAC Director General, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye who assured Nigerians of the drugs, warned that the agency would sanction anyone selling them outside the designed health facilities.


‘’NAFDAC has in the past five years developed a GMP Roadmap which continuously assures that pharmaceutical manufacturers in Nigeria remain compliant with global best practices. The GMP roadmap was designed to guide and help local manufacturers upgrade their facilities and procedures in line with current good manufacturing practice requirements. This initiative has enabled the Agency establish a baseline for monitoring compliance,’’ she maintained.


Professor Adeyeye said the approved drugs are suitable for the treatment of malaria, upper respiratory tract infections, childhood illnesses, and drugs being used by pregnant women.


On October 4, the NHIA signed a memorandum of understanding with 12 pharmaceutical companies and eight drug management organisations to produce 33 medical products for health insurance subscribers.
