NSC CHAIRMAN HIGHLIGHTS IMPORTANCE OF PARA ATHLETES IN NIGERIAN SPORTS AS FIRST LADY DECLARES 3RD NATIONAL PARA GAMES CLOSED
Bwala made the strong declaration while featuring on News Central TV’s programme 60 Minutes with Mr Kay on Friday.
“He will never be president. He will never cross the Central Business District that will lead to Aso Villa,” Bwala stated emphatically.
The presidential aide argued that anyone aspiring to the presidency must possess certain key characteristics, which he claimed Mr. Obi lacks.
“Anybody that would be a president, there are characteristics that you will see. The person must be visionary, the person must be grassroots-oriented — organic grassroots, not manipulation. The person must be sincere… but Peter Obi will never be,” he said.
Bwala further accused Obi of lacking genuine grassroots support, claiming instead that the former governor relied on a religious narrative to mobilise backing.
“Peter Obi does not have grassroots. What Peter Obi did is that he went to the church with a narrative when Buhari was in government that the church is being disenfranchised and it’s time for the church to take back their country. That narrative is what he used in rallying support among pastors and bishops, and that is not a grassroots support,” he added.
Bwala also criticised Obi for allegedly presenting a public image that contrasts sharply with his true persona.
