 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. 25 PEOPLE KILLED IN A COLLAPSED GOLD MINE IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC.

             According to Ahmat Negat,spokesman for Muslim Seleka rebels,said today that at least 25 people have died in a collapse at a gold mine,60 km north of the Central African Republic town of Bam Bari.The mine is originally owned by Canada's Axmin but was overrun by rebels more than a year ago and it now forms part of an illicit economy driving sectarian conflict in the country.The incident happened yesterday thursday but they are suspecting it was 27 artisan miners that were buried i the collapsed mine,but only 25 bodies were retrieved.According to Georges Yacinth Oubaouba,a senior official in the ministry of mines said ''Nobody from our service is on the ground to regulate the miners,so they dug without any rules,lower than 3 meters which got dangerous and with the rain,there can be collapses.
